NCT ID: NCT02947919 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Stress, Psychological

Impact of Music in the Preoperative Stress of Children Undergoing General Surgery

Start date: July 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Preoperative anxiety and stress are present in up to 60% of pediatric patients undergoing surgery, having a great physiological and emotional impact on children in both the short and long term. There are many reports on the use of music therapy in the perioperative period as a complementary technique in the preoperative stress and anxiety management. However, there are no assessments of the effect of this intervention on the physiological variables, such as salivary cortisol.

NCT ID: NCT02940353 Completed - Clinical trials for Edentulous or Failing Dentition Mandible

The TREFOIL Concept 5 Year Clinical Investigation

Start date: April 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Prospective, single cohort, multi-center study evaluating the TREFOIL concept for the treatment of edentulous or patients with failing mandibular dentition over 5 years. 90 patients (15 per centre) will be included. The subject population is at least 18 years old, in need of an implant restored full prosthesis providing sufficient bone in the interforaminal where a fixed restoration on three implants is regarded as an appropriate treatment solution. The components are TREFOIL treatment concept (implants and framework).

NCT ID: NCT02930421 Completed - COPD Clinical Trials

Exercise Training in Patients With Mild COPD

Start date: March 2015
Phase: N/A

NCT ID: NCT02929329 Completed - Heart Failure Clinical Trials

Registrational Study With Omecamtiv Mecarbil (AMG 423) to Treat Chronic Heart Failure With Reduced Ejection Fraction

GALACTIC-HF
Start date: January 6, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine if treatment with omecamtiv mecarbil when added to standard of care is well tolerated and superior to placebo in reducing the risk of cardiovascular death or heart failure events in adults with chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF).

NCT ID: NCT02928224 Completed - Clinical trials for BRAF V600E-mutant Metastatic Colorectal Cancer

Study of Encorafenib + Cetuximab Plus or Minus Binimetinib vs. Irinotecan/Cetuximab or Infusional 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU)/Folinic Acid (FA)/Irinotecan (FOLFIRI)/Cetuximab With a Safety Lead-in of Encorafenib + Binimetinib + Cetuximab in Patients With BRAF V600E-mutant Metastatic Colorectal Cancer

BEACON CRC
Start date: October 13, 2016
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a multicenter, randomized, open-label, 3-arm Phase 3 study to evaluate encorafenib + cetuximab plus or minus binimetinib versus Investigator's choice of either irinotecan/cetuximab or FOLFIRI/cetuximab, as controls, in patients with BRAFV600E mCRC whose disease has progressed after 1 or 2 prior regimens in the metastatic setting. The study contains a Safety Lead-in Phase in which the safety and tolerability of encorafenib + binimetinib + cetuximab will be assessed prior to the Phase 3 portion of the study.

NCT ID: NCT02917031 Completed - Heart Failure Clinical Trials

Mechanistic Evaluation of Glucose-lowering Strategies in Patients With Heart Failure

MEASURE-HF
Start date: January 10, 2017
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This is a 24 week, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, parallel group, placebo-controlled study to investigate the effects of saxagliptin and sitagliptin on cardiac dimensions and function in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) mellitus and heart failure (HF).

NCT ID: NCT02909257 Terminated - Clinical trials for Osteoarthritis, Knee

Motor-Sparing Femoral Nerve Block Dose

Start date: September 2016
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Femoral nerve blocks are commonly used to provide pain control for total knee replacement, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Commonly employed local anesthetic concentrations result in motor block of the quadriceps and constitute an inherent risk factor for patient fall. The aim of this study is to determine the minimum effective concentration of bupivacaine in 90 % of patients (MEC90) required for a motor-sparing, successful sensory block of the femoral nerve.
