NCT ID: NCT04010383 Completed - Visual Field Tests Clinical Trials

Non-inferiority Study for Visual Field Measurements Using a Virtual Reality Device

Start date: August 2, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

It is hypothesized that performing VF measurements with a Virtual Reality headset using similar testing strategies as implemented in conventional perimeters, allow for a non-inferior quality in VF acquisitions. The results of this study will show if valid measurements of such devices in human subjects can be obtained. The primary endpoint of this study is the non-inferiority estimation quality of participant's mean defect (MD) measured in decibel (dB) between the head-mounted display and an OCTOPUS perimeter using the dynamic strategy (DS) for participants with normal or glaucomatous visual field. The MD is a clinical measure for the average loss of visual function calculated from the visual field of a participant.

NCT ID: NCT04008446 Completed - Bacteremia Clinical Trials

Effect of Vitamin B12 on the Development of Sepsis, in Culture Positive Patients

Vit B12
Start date: June 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is an prospective observational study assessing the effect of vitamin B12 on the odds of developing sepsis in patients with infection confirmed by a positive culture result. The hypothesis is that patients with infection confirmed by positive cultures who develop sepsis have lower vitamin B12 levels than patients infection, confirmed by positive cultures, who do not develop sepsis.

NCT ID: NCT04005352 Completed - Clinical trials for Age-related Macular Degeneration

Study to Assess the Efficacy and Safety of Brolucizumab 6mg Compared to Aflibercept 2 mg in a Treat-to-control Regimen (TALON)

TALON
Start date: September 25, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This was a 64-week randomized, double-masked, multi-center, active-controlled, two-arm study in patients with neovascular age related macular degeneration (nAMD) who have not previously received anti- vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) treatment.

NCT ID: NCT04003753 Completed - Fear of Heights Clinical Trials

Efficacy of a VR Paradigm to Reduce Fear of Heights in a Clinical and Subclinical Population With Fear of Heights

VRAP-Basel
Start date: October 16, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Investigation of the effectiveness and acceptability and usability of a VR height exposure App in individuals with fear of heights.

NCT ID: NCT04002570 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Adjuvant Radiotherapy on Circulating Cells in Breast Cancer Patients

CCB-RT
Start date: October 25, 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Radiation applied to the preserved breast during radiotherapy treatment activates numerous molecular cascades in tumor bed adjacent cells causing an inflammatory state. During this process, pre-clinical studies demonstrated CD11b + and CD11b+cKit+cells mobilization in the blood. These cells are involved in numerous processes during tumor progression/control and metastases development. The expected results in clinical setting allow us to investigate the development of innovative therapeutic and monitoring strategies. The clinical repercussions would consist in identifying new predictive and prognostic targets in breast cancer.

NCT ID: NCT04000139 Completed - Ulcerative Colitis Clinical Trials

Anthocyanin Rich Extract (ACRE) in Patients With Ulcerative Colitis

ACRE
Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study evaluates the efficacy and safety of a bilberry derived anthocyanin-rich extract in patients with ulcerative colitis. Two thirds of participants will receive the anthocyanin-rich extract, while one third will receive placebo, for 8 weeks of treatment.

NCT ID: NCT03999346 Completed - Trauma Clinical Trials

Opportunities and Limitations of Swiss Polytrauma Registry Data for Scientific Purposes- Registry Data for Scientific Purposes

Start date: November 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of the analysis is an evaluation of the current performance of the Swiss Trauma Registry (STR) with respect to providing a reliable basis for (scientific) investigations on the management of trauma patients in Switzerland. The current project tries to address this question by considering central aspects of completeness and by exemplifying the use of the registry for research questions. The aim is to identify potential shortcomings of the registry.

NCT ID: NCT03997071 Completed - Rupture Clinical Trials

RetroBRACE - Clinical and Functional Outcomes 2 Years After Primary ACL Repair (Internal Bracing)

RetroBRACE
Start date: April 17, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to quantify 2-year postoperative clinical and functional outcomes including side-to-side differences in gait function, balance, proprioception and muscle strength in patients treated by ACL repair with Internal Brace Ligament Augmentation.

NCT ID: NCT03996421 Completed - Low Iron Stores Clinical Trials

Determination of Iron Absorption Mechanism From Ferrous Fumarate With GOS

Fe_GOS_3
Start date: October 23, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim is to investigate the mechanism by which galacto-oligosaccharide acutely increases iron absorption by using stable isotope appearance curves. This will allow the evaluation of changes in serum iron isotopes over the first few hours after administration of the iron supplement and provides information where and in what amount iron absorption takes place in the GI-tract.

NCT ID: NCT03996369 Completed - Ulcerative Colitis Clinical Trials

Etrasimod Versus Placebo as Induction Therapy in Moderately to Severely Active Ulcerative Colitis

ELEVATE UC 12
Start date: September 15, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of etrasimod on clinical remission in participants with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis (UC).
