NCT ID: NCT05728294 Completed - Postoperative Pain Clinical Trials

Femoral or Sciatic Nerve Block to Provide Analgesia After Proximal Tibial Osteotomy

Start date: February 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Proximal tibial osteotomy is associated with moderate to severe postoperative pain. The proximal part of the tibia is innervated by branches from the femoral nerve anteriorly and the sciatic nerve posteriorly. Little is known on the type of peripheral nerve block to perform so that optimal postoperative analgesia is provided with minimum impact on the motor function. This randomised controlled double-blinded trial tested the hypothesis that a femoral nerve block provides superior analgesia than a sciatic nerve block after proximal tibial osteotomy.

NCT ID: NCT05727254 Recruiting - Aging Clinical Trials

Agility Training for Older Adults to Improve Fall Risk Factors

AgilE
Start date: July 13, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In this randomized controlled trial the effect of 4 months of multi-component (strength, balance, cognition, endurance) exercise training intervention on measures of neuromuscular performance, cognition, and endurance as well as neural adaptations on a central and peripheral level is investigated. 40 subjects are recruited that are generally health and between 60 and 80 years of age. The interventions is based around exercises, where different tasks have to be solved simultaneously rather than serially, as has previously been done.

NCT ID: NCT05726825 Not yet recruiting - Septic Shock Clinical Trials

Efficacy of add-on Plasma Exchange as an Adjunctive Strategy Against Septic Shock

EXCHANGE-2
Start date: November 28, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Randomized, prospective, multicenter, open-label, controlled, parallel-group interventional trial to test the adjunctive effect of therapeutic plasma exchange in patients with early septic shock.

NCT ID: NCT05726786 Recruiting - Bladder Cancer Clinical Trials

The Role of Preoperative Immunonutrition on Morbidity and Immune Response After Cystectomy (INCyst Trial)

INCyst
Start date: April 10, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial research study is to evaluate the impact of preoperative oral immunonutrition (IN) on post-operative complications in patients undergoing a cystectomy. As a secondary focus, this study will aim to develop a signature that would identify patients that would benefit the most from IN. This is a multicentric (Swiss: N=3), prospective, controlled, pragmatic, parallel-group comparative study with block randomization stratified by centers.

NCT ID: NCT05726708 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Autism Spectrum Disorder

Impact of an E-Learning Coaching for Parents of Young Children With Autism

ECOACH
Start date: October 24, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this study is to evaluate the impact of a parental coaching based on E-Learning (EL), intended for parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Population: parents of young children (2 to 4 years old) with an ASD diagnosis. The main questions that our study will answer are: - Has parental coaching via E-Learning a significant impact compared to no coaching? - If so, is that impact comparable to standard parental coaching such as PACT? The impact will be evaluated in three domains: - Child development: behavior, sleep, eating behavior - Parental competences: stress, coping, feeling of parental competencies - Parent-child interaction: communication, visual attention The investigators will compare 3 groups: 1. ASD children whose parents will follow a parental coaching via E-learning, 2. ASD children whose parents will follow a standard parental coaching (PACT) 3. ASD children whose parents will not follow any specific coaching program

NCT ID: NCT05724875 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Basal Cell Carcinoma

FLASH Radiotherapy for Skin Cancer

LANCE
Start date: June 22, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a single center randomized selected Phase II study of FLASH radiotherapy (RT) versus standard of care (SOC) radiotherapy in patients with localized Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma (cSCC) or Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC). In summary, the aims of the study are to describe and compare the toxicity and efficacy of high dose rate radiotherapy (FLASH therapy) to SOC conventional radiotherapy (according to the standard guidelines per lesion size) through a randomized Phase II selection study in patients presenting localized cSCC or BCC requiring a radiotherapy treatment.

NCT ID: NCT05724199 Active, not recruiting - Atopic Dermatitis Clinical Trials

A Study Assessing Rocatinlimab in Combination With Topical Corticosteroid and/or Topical Calcineurin Inhibitors in Adult Participants With Moderate-to-severe Atopic Dermatitis (AD)

ROCKET-SHUTTLE
Start date: February 21, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The coprimary objectives of the study are to: - evaluate the efficacy of rocatinlimab in combination with topical corticosteroid and/or topical calcineurin inhibitor (TCS/TCI), compared with placebo in combination with TCS/TCI at Week 24, assessed using Validated Investigator's Global Assessment for Atopic Dermatitis (vIGA-ADâ„¢). - evaluate the efficacy of rocatinlimab, in combination with TCS/TCI, compared with placebo in combination with TCS/TCI at Week 24, assessed using Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI).

NCT ID: NCT05720936 Recruiting - Arrhythmic Storm Clinical Trials

In-hospital Stellate Ganglion Block for Arrhythmic Storm

STAR
Start date: January 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Arrhythmic storm is a real emergency and its treatment could be challenging. Antiarrhythmic drugs are few and often ineffective. Neuromodulation has been grown in evidences but no large multicentric studies are present in literature about safety and effectiveness of Percutaneous Stellate Ganglion Block (PSGB). Patients with an electrical storm refractory to at least one antiarrhythmic drug will receive PSGB and will be enrolled in the present study. The number of defibrillations before and after the treatment will be compared, complications will be annotated.

NCT ID: NCT05720832 Recruiting - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

Feasibility of Technology-Based SSIP in Prostate Cancer Patients

Start date: August 23, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this pilot study is to assess the perceived usability of a smartphone application called WINGS targeting psychosocial distress and well-being in prostate cancer patients and their social network. The main questions it aims to answer are: - How do prostate cancer patients and their social network rate the usability of the technology-based social-support intervention program smartphone application? - Do symptoms of prostate cancer patients improve after using the WINGS smartphone application? - Does the burden of prostate cancer patients social network decrease after using the WINGS smartphone application? Participants will be asked to use the WINGS smartphone application over the period of eight to twelve weeks and fill in questionnaires before, during, and after this time.
