There are about 9403 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Switzerland. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The primary objectives of this study are to evaluate the efficacy of filgotinib in the induction and maintenance treatment of moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis (UC) in participants who are biologic-naive and biologic-experienced. Participants who complete the study, or met protocol specified efficacy discontinuation criteria will have the option to enter a separate, long-term extension (LTE) study (Gilead Study GS-US-418-3899: NCT02914535).
Open-label, multi-center clinical study is to assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetic (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD), and efficacy of Risdiplam (RO7034067) in infants with Type 1 spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). The study consists of two parts, an exploratory dose finding part (Part 1) and a confirmatory part (Part 2) which will investigate Risdiplam (RO7034067) for 24-months at the dose selected in Part 1.
The purpose of the present study is to assess the effects of LMB763 with respect to safety, tolerability, and on markers of liver inflammation in patients with NASH
Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) such as Polycythemia Vera (PV) and, Essential Thrombocythaemia (ET) are rare clonal myeloid neoplasms associated with an increased risk of both venous and arterial thrombosis. Thrombotic complications are the main determinant of morbidity and in a less extend mortality. Routine haemostasis analysis (TP, aPTT) are usually normal and are useless to demonstrate a hypercoagulable state. However, previous evidence suggests that global coagulation tests such as thrombin generation or thromboelastometry are able to detect signs of procoagulant imbalance in MPN. Similarly, current data seems to demonstrate that fibrin clot properties (clot permeability, turbidimetry, clot lysis time) properties is altered suggesting an hypercoagulable state. Goals of PV and ET treatments are to control blood count to reduce the risk of thrombotic events. Moreover, new drugs such as Janus Kinase Inhibitors (JAKi) were recently licensed for PV and are under investigations on clinical trial for ET. It is currently unknown if treatments that were used for ET and PV, and especially JAKi are able to modify the hypercoagulable state that is observed in those diseases, and if there is difference between drugs. To evaluate impact of MPN treatment on prothrombotic haemostatic profile, we propose to evaluate global coagulation and fibrin clot properties in MPN, depending on the treatment.
This is a Phase I, open label, single-site trial to evaluate the in vivo release characteristics in the gastrointestinal tract of metronidazole benzoate capsules designed to disintegrate in the large intestine. This will be examined by means of metronidazole plasma levels and scintigraphic images in healthy subjects. Overall, nine subjects will be evaluated for each formulation prototype. Two formulation prototypes will be investigated. Each subject will receive one radio-labelled capsule only.
Despite treatment of locally advanced rectal cancer relapses are frequent. Several attempts to improve these results with therapy intensification have shown modest effect on disease free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS). Recent studies with addition of sorafenib and cediranib revealed promising effect on tumor response with acceptable toxicity. Regorafenib is a multi tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) with a broad mechanism of action. Therefore this trial investigates if similar results can be achieved as with sorafenib or cediranib.
A postmarketing Cohort study of Melanoma patients treated with IMLYGIC (Talimogene Laherparepvec) in clinical Practice to Characterize the risk of herpetic infection with detection of Talimogene Laherparepvec DNA among patients, close contacts, and health care providers; and long term safety in treated patients for up to 5 years after the first IMLYGIC dose.
Clinical trial aimed at evaluating the safety and performance of the ACURATE neo™ AS Aortic Bioprosthesis and ACURATE neo™ AS TF Transfemoral Delivery System for CE mark approval purposes.
ILCOR guidelines recommend Target Temperature Management (TTM) to between 32°C and 36°C after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, based on low quality evidence. In a previous trial, TTM at 33°C did not confer a survival benefit or improved neurological function, compared to TTM at 36°C. A lower target temperature might be beneficial compared with normothermia and early treatment of fever. Therefore the primary purpose of the TTM2-trial will be to study any differences in mortality, neurological function and quality of life between a target temperature of 33°C and standard care avoiding fever.
The objective of the study is to assess brain tissue perfusion by ultrasound perfusion imaging. Specifically - to diagnose brain tissue hypoperfusion due to CVS with contrast enhanced UPI and to assess specificity and sensitivity, and predictive values for detection of brain tissue hypoperfusion leading to infarction - to test whether treatment-effects by induced hypertension, balloon-dilatation, or intra-arterial nimodipine infusion can be detected and quantified by UPI
