NCT ID: NCT04430127 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Colorectal Adenocarcinoma

The Role of Quantitative Measures on Dual-energy CT in the Prediction of Colorectal Adenocarcinoma

Start date: April 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

To demonstrate the potential role of dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) by iodine maps data, aimed at discriminating colon cancer from colon wall pseudo-thickening.

NCT ID: NCT04430075 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Mitral Regurgitation

MiCLASP Post Market Clinical Follow-Up (PMCF) Study

MiCLASP
Start date: August 23, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a postmarket clinical follow up study on the safety and effectiveness of the Edwards PASCAL Transcatheter Valve Repair System and the Edwards PASCAL Precision Transcatheter Valve Repair System in transcatheter mitral valve repair.

NCT ID: NCT04429256 Completed - Clinical trials for Mycobacterium Chimaera Infections

Prosthetic Valve and Graft Endocarditis With Mycobacterium Chimaera

Start date: April 10, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Mycobacterium chimaera infections have occurred in post-cardiac surgery patients in association with contaminated cardiac bypass heater-cooler devices. So far optimal therapeutical concepts are not clear. At the University Hospital Basel Mycobacterium chimaera- infected protheses are replaced to decrease pathogenic burden and to support antibiotic long- term treatment. This study is to analyze the efficacy of this therapeutic approach.

NCT ID: NCT04429217 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Lateral Malleolus Fracture

A Study to Compare Two Different Managements After Ankle Surgery: Immediate and Delayed Weight-bearing.

Start date: April 28, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The investigators will compare two types of rehabilitation in patients who undergo a surgery for treatment of malleolar fractures: immediate complete weight-bearing and delayed weight-bearing. The investigators want to evaluate if the immediate complete weight-bearing can improve and hasten the functional outcome of the ankle without increasing the risk of complications.

NCT ID: NCT04429178 Completed - Pregnancy Clinical Trials

Portal Vein Pulsatility Flow in Pregnancy

Start date: August 13, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study is to investigate if portal vein pulsatility fraction can be measured in pregnancy and if it increases during the course of pregnancy as would be expected by the physiologic increase in blood volume that happens during pregnancy. Portal vein pulsatility fraction is measured in non-pregnant controls and in women in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy.

NCT ID: NCT04429165 Completed - Clinical trials for Injury of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL)

Clinical and Functional Outcomes 2 Years After ACL Repair and InternalBrace Ligament Augmentation in Comparison With ACL Reconstruction

RetroBRACE II
Start date: April 23, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of this study is to assess the clinical, biomechanical and functional outcome 2 years after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair and InternalBraceTM augmentation now in direct comparison to ACL reconstruction and to identify potential deficits compared to the contralateral healthy side as well as with a knee-healthy age-matched collective. In addition, socio-economic aspects such as return to work and sports and treatment cost will be compared between both techniques.

NCT ID: NCT04427059 Completed - Pain, Postoperative Clinical Trials

A Study to Compare Two Techniques for Pain Control After Bariatric Surgery

Start date: June 15, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to compare the postoperative pain and other clinical outcomes in patients who, during bariatric surgery, will be injected with a local anesthetic (Ropivacaine) through two different techniques.

NCT ID: NCT04425031 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Hypoxemic Respiratory Failure

Handling Oxygenation Targets in COVID-19

HOT-COVID
Start date: August 25, 2020
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Patients with COVID-19 and hypoxaemic respiratory failure and admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) are treated with supplementary oxygen as a standard. However, quality of quantity evidence regarding this practise is low. The aim of the HOT-COVID trial is to evaluate the benefits and harms of two targets of partial pressure of oxygen in arterial blood (PaO2) in guiding the oxygen therapy in acutely ill adult COVID-19 patients with hypoxaemic respiratory failure at ICU admission.

NCT ID: NCT04424433 Completed - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Myocardial Strain Analysis in Anaesthetized Coronary Artery Disease Patients During Hyperoxia and Normoxaemia

Strecho-O2
Start date: June 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of supraphysiologic oxygen (hyperoxia) on myocardial function in anaesthetized patients with coronary artery disease.

NCT ID: NCT04424329 Completed - Clinical trials for Microbiota Perturbation by an Environmental Challenge

Effect of a Specific Blend of Fibers and Probiotics on the Microbiome

Start date: June 2, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study will investigate the effect of a mix of fibers and probiotics on faecal microbiota challenged by an environmental stress
