Sequence of Vessel Interruption and Circulating Tumor Cells in Surgical Lung Cancer

CTC-01
Start date: August 31, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to define the impact of the sequence of vessel interruption on change in CTC and CTC clusters density in the tumor-draining pulmonary vein between the period before surgical manipulation and before tumor-draining vein interruption.

NCT ID: NCT03644784 Completed - Clinical trials for Aortic Valve Insufficiency

Protocoled Quantitative Assessment of Aortic Regurgitation Using Videodensitometry in a Multicontinental Trial in Rotterdam, Montreal, Yamaguchi, Segeberg, Amsterdam.

ASSESS-REGURGE
Start date: September 1, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The ASSESS-REGURGE is a multicenter, multicontinental registry on protocoled aortographic image acquisition after implantation of a transcatheter aortic valve. After the implementation of the acquisition protocol, each participating site will use the standardized approach for their center in order to identify if the images are considered analyzable via videodensitometry quantitative assessment of aortic regurgitation.

NCT ID: NCT03644706 Terminated - Clinical trials for Distal Renal Tubular Acidosis

Study Evaluating Subjects With Distal Renal Tubular Acidosis

Start date: September 20, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a phase 3, prospective, multicenter, randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled withdrawal study comparing the efficacy of ADV7103 versus placebo in preventing the development of metabolic acidosis defined by serum bicarbonate levels in pediatric (6 months to < 18 years of age) and adult (18 to 65 years of age) subjects with primary Distal Renal Tubular Acidosis (dRTA).

NCT ID: NCT03644381 Active, not recruiting - Cow Milk Allergy Clinical Trials

Milk Desensitization in Children

Start date: July 3, 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will assess a novel and potentially life-changing therapy, by actively treating Cow's Milk Allergy (CMA) using Oral Immunotherapy, which may allow patients to safely consume milk and other dairy products.

NCT ID: NCT03643965 Completed - Clinical trials for Primary IgA Nephropathy

Efficacy and Safety of Nefecon in Patients With Primary IgA (Immunoglobulin A) Nephropathy

Nefigard
Start date: September 5, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The overall aim of the study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of Nefecon 16 mg per day in the treatment of patients with primary IgAN (Immunoglobulin A nephropathy) at risk of progressing to end-stage renal disease (ESRD), despite maximum tolerated treatment with renin-angiotensin system (RAS) blockade using angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) or angiotensin II type I receptor blockers (ARBs).

NCT ID: NCT03643822 Active, not recruiting - ACL Injury Clinical Trials

Adjuncts for Adductor Block: Dexamethasone,Dexmedetomidine, or Combination to Reduce Pain

AADDCToR
Start date: February 21, 2020
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this multi-centered study is to evaluate the effects of two distinct Adductor Canal Block (ACB) adjuncts, dexamethasone and dexmedetomidine, and their combination, on postoperative analgesia in patients undergoing Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Repair.

NCT ID: NCT03643445 Completed - Clinical trials for Motivational Interviewing

Motivation-Oriented Versus Psychoeducation-Oriented Day Hospital Treatment for Eating Disorders

Start date: August 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

1. Study Objectives To evaluate changes in general symptomatology in patients undergoing the day hospital eating disorders program at North York General Hospital and compare symptoms between treatment groups (motivation-oriented vs. psychoeducation-oriented). To determine treatment satisfaction ratings in patients undergoing the day hospital program and compare satisfaction between treatment groups. To evaluate the acceptability of patient-centered and motivation-oriented eating disorder treatment among patients. 2. Study Hypotheses: Participants who receive motivation-oriented adjunctive treatment will experience larger improvements in eating disorder symptomatology 6 weeks into treatment, 10-12 weeks into treatment, and at discharge (compared to admission), and as compared to those receiving psychoeducation-oriented adjunctive treatment. Patients who receive motivation-oriented adjunctive treatment will report higher satisfaction with treatment, stronger feelings of motivation to recover, and will be more likely to complete the program as compared to those receiving psychoeducation-oriented adjunctive treatment.

NCT ID: NCT03643341 Recruiting - Obesity Clinical Trials

Family Healthy Living Early Intervention Program

EIP
Start date: October 10, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The Childhood Healthy Weights Early Intervention Program (EIP) is a family-based pilot program that will promote healthy lifestyle practices for families whose children are off the healthy weight trajectory (e.g., BMI ≥ 85th percentile for age and sex) that do not need the intensive services of medically supervised programs. It is a lifestyle behaviour approach for promoting healthy weights in children. The EIP program consists of 10 weekly intervention sessions (1.5 hours per session) followed by 4 maintenance sessions and is age specific (age 8-12). During the intervention, participants will also have access to digital educational content that is supplementary to what is provided during the individual sessions. The program will be integrated and aligned with existing BC-specific childhood healthy weights programs (e.g. the HealthLinkBC Eating and Activity Program for Kids). The EIP pilot will run from October-December 2018 with 8 child programs (age 8-12). Participants who do not qualify for this program (e.g., BMI ≤ 85th percentile for age and sex) will be offered a 10 week online program which is similar in educational content as the EIP program.

NCT ID: NCT03643224 Active, not recruiting - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

NCT ID: NCT03642886 Recruiting - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Detraining on Atrial Fibrillation

DAF
Start date: November 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will examine the effect of detraining as a clinical tool to prevent recurrence of lone paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF) and improve quality of life. Persons who engage in endurance activity with AF will be randomly assigned to undergo an 8-week period of detraining or encouraged to maintain their current level of exercise. Participants will receive a handheld device called AliveCor that can record an electrical tracing of the heart rhythm by pressing down with ones' thumbs. The amount of arrhythmia and symptoms will be recorded. The research team hypothesizes that among athletes with lone AF, an 8-week period of detraining will not affect atrial fibrillation recurrence or quality of life.
