There are about 28871 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Canada. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
In this study, the investigators aim to undertake a retrospective analysis of CT and MRI scans for patients undergoing radiation treatment to develop radiomic signatures to predict treatment response and clinical outcomes.
Female sexual dysfunction (FSD) affects approximately one-third of women worldwide and is linked to negative physical, psychological, and interpersonal outcomes. Although both cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based therapy are effective treatments for FSD, face-to-face treatments can be costly and are inaccessible to many people in remote areas. The goal of the current study is to pilot a randomized controlled trial to examine the effectiveness of and satisfaction with two online interventions for FSD. Women will be randomized to an online cognitive-behavioral program, an online mindfulness-based program, or a wait-list control group. Treatment will be administered entirely online and last 8-12 weeks. Women will meet weekly via Zoom with a navigator who will provide individualized support.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and preliminary clinical activity of CC-95251 alone and in combination with antineoplastic agents in participants with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia and relapsed or refractory and treatment-naive higher risk melodysplastic syndromes.
Chronic low back pain (CLBP) is very common in older adults and is one of the most common reasons for disability and poor quality of life. Lack of physical activity is considered to negatively impact CLBP and show an inverse association with pain symptoms and limitations. Remote and real-time monitoring can allow ecological momentary assessment which involves repeated sampling of participants' current behaviors and experiences in their natural environments. Recent advances allow monitoring of activity using inertial measurement units (consisting of accelerometers, gyroscopes and magnetometers) that can be worn by an individual at home or during work. In our study, we plan to test the feasibility and acceptability of the wearable devices in elderly patients with CLBP and to explore the use of data analytics and machine learning on the recorded data, in order to demonstrate the feasibility of a larger cohort study.
Hip and knee osteoarthritis (OA) is a burden of disability in adults, with many seeking total joint arthroplasty (TJA) to reduce their symptoms. Almost 50% of people screened for TJA are referred for further rehabilitation rather than TJA. However, access to community-based rehabilitation is limited for those living in rural settings. Recent advances in tele-rehabilitation using smart phone technology, widely available in rural areas, provides a means to access rehabilitation from home. ReDI@Home will examine the impact of home-based e-Rehabilitation, delivered via smart phone, for rural residents living with moderate to advanced OA. This randomized feasibility trial will compare 2 e-Rehabilitation programs (eRP) of varying intensity (eRP-LOw Intensity [eRP-LO] and eRP-HIgh Intensity [eRP- HI]). The investigators think that the eRP are feasible and that both eRP will improve OA self-management. However, eRP-HI will improve patient outcomes more than eRP-LO.
The goal of this project is to validate a new non-invasive clinical imaging system to evaluate the efficacy of plantar orthotics and to assess the biomechanical efficiency of plantar orthotics for people with flat or high arch feet. The Cryovizion system should detect changes in participants' posture with an accuracy of 95%, while orthotics should improve the body's postural symmetry index.
The purpose of the study is to investigate the safety, tolerability, and preliminary anti-neoplastic activity of S095029 alone and in combination with Sym021 in patients with advanced solid tumor malignancies followed by an expansion phase of triple combinations.
The overall goal is to establish the safety and efficacy of colchicine in ICH patients for the prevention of major cardiovascular events and brain injury. Colchicine for the prevention of vascular events after an acute intracerebral hemorrhage (CoVasc-ICH) is a vanguard pilot trial designed to obtain the factual feasibility prerequisites essential for the planning, design, funding and execution of a subsequent phase III trial.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the long term safety, tolerability, efficacy and pharmacodynamics of elexacaftor (ELX)/tezacaftor (TEZ)/ivacaftor (IVA) in CF participants 2 years of age and older.
Study BP43464 is a phase II, multicenter, randomized, double-masked active comparator-controlled study designed to assess the efficacy, safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of vamikibart in combination with, anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) inhibitor, ranibizumab compared with ranibizumab alone in participants with diabetic macular edema. Only one eye will be chosen as the study eye. The duration of the study will be 76 weeks.
