This study is designed to assess the safety and efficacy of lenvatinib in combination with pembrolizumab versus standard of care (SOC) chemotherapy, and to also assess the safety and efficacy of lenvatinib monotherapy in participants with recurrent/metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (R/M HNSCC) that have progressed after platinum therapy and a programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) or anti-programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitor. The primary hypothesis is that lenvatinib + pembrolizumab is superior to SOC chemotherapy with respect to ORR per modified Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) 1.1 as assessed by blinded independent central review.

Duration of Immunity 10 Years After a Dose-response Study With Yellow Fever Vaccine - Complementary Study

Yellow fever is an acute febrile infectious disease transmitted to man urban cycle by mosquitoes infected by an arbovirus of the genus Flavivirus family Flaviviridae. Its occurrence is recorded in South America Central America and Africa. In cities the yellow fever vector is the Aedes aegypti mosquito which also transmits dengue viruses zika and chikungunya. This disease is more frequent in males and the most affected age group is above fifteen years due to the greater exposure related to the penetration in wild areas of the endemic zone of yellow fever. Another risk group is unvaccinated people who live near wild environments where the virus circulates. According to the World Health Organization a single dose of the yellow fever vaccine is sufficient to maintain protective immunity against yellow fever for a lifetime therefore a booster dose is not required. This question is difficult to evaluate because there is no serological correlate of protection against yellow fever and seropositivity is defined with several cut off points. Although studies indicate that the duration of protection after vaccination is long there is considerable evidence in the literature that antibody titer falls over the years reaching levels considered as seronegative in at least a portion of the vaccinees. This is of more concern to people living in endemic areas who are exposed to the virus throughout their lives. For this reason Brazil recommended revaccinating once at least until additional studies were done. The need to increase Bio Manguinhos production capacity to meet the increased demand from Brazil and other countries is urgent. The occurrence of epidemics when millions of individuals need to be vaccinated in a short period of time exceeds production capacity and this is a recurrent problem. The current vaccine has a very high potency well above the thousand international units recommended by World Health Organization. But we need to generate additional evidence that very low doses of viral particles in the yellow fever vaccine are still immunogenic and that their immunogenicity can be maintained for at least ten years after vaccination. This evidence will support the rapid increase of their availability by the fractionation of doses or other alternatives.

Effect of Oral Hygienization in Newborn on Candida Spp Colonization

Oral hygiene is one of the most accessible and well-known strategies for the prevention of dental caries. The benefits of this practice after tooth eruption are well established in the literature. Oral hygiene in newborns prior to tooth eruption is controversial, since there is a disagreement between the Dental and Pediatric Associations as to the optimal time to initiate oral hygiene in children and scientific studies in this regard have not yet been performed. Some of these associations recommend starting this practice from the eruption of the child's first tooth. Others recommend beginning the cleansing of the child's oral cavity from birth by cleaning the baby's gingival rollers and tongue. The aim of the present investigation will be to evaluate, through a randomized clinical trial, the influence of oral hygiene in newborns on Candida spp colonization. and on the child's behavior during oral hygiene after tooth eruption. Will be included in the study, pairs of mothers and babies born in the maternity of the Hospital Nossa Senhora da Saúde, in Diamantina, Minas Gerais, Brazil. This will be a rehearsal Randomized clinical trial in which newborns will be allocated into 2 groups, namely: - Newborns whose parents will receive guidelines for oral hygiene before tooth eruption (Group 1); - Newborns whose parents will receive instructions not to perform oral hygiene before tooth eruption (Group 2). The initial data collection will be performed one month after the child's birth and will include oral clinical examinations, saliva collection and questionnaires on the socio-environmental, economic and behavioral aspects of the child and his family. Initial oral clinical examinations will be performed to assess the presence of Candidiasis, and saliva collection will be performed to identify and quantification of Candida spp. These evaluations will be performed again every three months. From the eruption of the first deciduous tooth, the follow-up included an assessment of the baby's behavior during oral hygiene performed by the responsible. This evaluation will be made by the examiner using the Frankl scale and HBCD scale criteria. Statistical analysis will be performed using the Statistical Package for Social Science, version 23.0 and will include descriptive, bivariate and multivariate analyzes.

The objective of this study is compare gait disorders in patients with Parkinson's disease and DBS in 4 different scenarios: 1) regular continuous high frequency (>130Hz) stimulation, 2) cycling high frequency (>130Hz) stimulation (40sec on, 2sec off), 3) low-frequency (80Hz) continuous stimulation and 4) cycling low frequency (80Hz) stimulation (40sec on, 2sec off)

The severe acute respiratory syndrome induced by the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) has been declared a worldwide pandemic. Identifying common characteristics of the disease is crucial to promote a better prognosis for patients and to reduce the occurrence of medical complications, the time to medical discharge and mortality rates. Muscle mass and strength are recognized predictive measures of medical complications and mortality in different populations, but it is still unclear whether these also applies to patients with SARS-CoV-2. Therefore, this study will investigate whether muscle mass and/or muscle strength are predictors of the time until medical discharge of patients hospitalized with SARS-CoV-2. Our working hypothesis is that muscle mass and/or muscle strength are predictive measurements of the time until medical discharge of patients hospitalized with SARS-CoV-2

The COVID-19 pandemic has been characterized by high morbidity and mortality, especially in certain subgroups of patients. To date, no treatment has been shown to be effective in controlling this disease in hospitalized patients with moderate and / or severe cases of this disease. Hydroxychloroquine and lopinavir / ritonavir have been shown to inhibit SARS-CoV viral replication in experimental severe acute respiratory symptoms models and have similar activity against SARS-CoV2. Although widely used in studies of critically ill patients, to date, no study has demonstrated its role on the treatment of high-risk, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 and mild symptoms.
