There are about 13446 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Belgium. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled, parallel and multiple dose study provided safety, preliminary efficacy, and immunogenicity information about the use of BMS-188667 and BMS-224818 in subjects with RA
A one year double-blind trial to investigate the efficacy and safety of meloxicam oral suspension 0.25 mg/kg and 0.125 mg/kg administered once daily in comparison to naproxen oral suspension 5 mg/kg administered twice daily in children with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of a collaborative approach (geriatric care involving the collaboration with a clinical pharmacist) to optimize the prescription of medicines for elderly inpatients.
The study will compare and evaluate the effects of long-term treatment of monotherapy with rosiglitazone, metformin and glyburide/glibenclamide on the improvement and maintenance of glycemic control in patients with recently diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus.
The primary purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of AZD2171 in combination with FOLFOX to the efficacy of bevacizumab in combination with FOLFOX, in the second-line treatment of patients with metastatic colorectal cancer
The objective of this study is to evaluate the therapeutic effectiveness and cost-effectivity of pharmaceutical care for diabetes type 2 patients. Patients will be randomly allocated to the control group ( = no input from pharmacist) or intervention group ( = with pharmaceutical care at baseline and follow-up visits over 6 months).
RATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying giving radiation therapy or combination chemotherapy to see how well it works in treating patients with clinically or radiologically progressive low-grade gliomas.
To evaluate the FOLFOX regimen versus LV5FU2 in the adjuvant treatment of stage II and III colon cancer. Primary objective: Disease Free Survival (DFS) Secondary objective: Overall Survival (OS), safety (including long term toxicity)
Allomatrix is a combination of Demineralized Bone Matrix with a binding medium of calcium sulfate hemihydrate and carboxymethylcellulose. Allomatrix combines the osteoinductive capacity of DBM with the osteoconduction and controlled resorption of surgical grade calcium sulfate. Unstable fractures of the distal radius do not resist displacement once it has been manipulated into an anatomical position. There is a parallel between the quality of the anatomic result and the residual capacity of the wrist, except in older, low demanding patients. Injectable osteoconductive cements have been introduced to fill voids in metaphyseal bone and may provide a better stability around hardware in osteoporotic bone and help maintain reduction of fracture fragments. Moreover, a product like ALLOMATRIX could accelerate and improve bone healing and fracture stability by its osteoinductive properties. However, the clinical significance of these new bone graft materials still have to be proven in a randomised controlled study set-up.
Primary: - To assess the efficacy of SR121463B in correcting hyponatremia in patients with dilutional hyponatremia other than SIADH or cirrhosis Secondary: - To assess the long-term efficacy of SR121463B in maintaining normonatremia in these patients - To assess the safety and tolerability of SR121463B
