There are about 13446 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Belgium. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Sleep's deficiencies are very common in intensive care. Mechanical ventilation is a known factor in this deterioration. The investigators hypothesize that close-loop ventilation mode (Intellivent-ASV) is able to minimize sleep deterioration, adjusting ventilation to the patient needs.
The primary purpose of this Study is evaluation of the safety and performance of the GlucoClear System (System). The primary safety objective will be assessed by: • Evaluation of any serious adverse device effects upon Sensor insertion through Sensor removal and a follow-up assessment one week (7 ± 3 days) after Sensor removal. The primary performance objective will be evaluated using the following criteria: 15/20% Performance: Blood glucose measurements from the System must meet the ISO 15197 15/20% accuracy criteria (at least 95% of the matched pairs within ± 15 mg/dL of Comparator values ≤ 75 mg/dL and within ±20% of Comparator values > 75 mg/dL).
This pilot study examines the feasibility and turnaround time of performing and obtaining data from a few key molecular assays. These assays will be performed using different laboratories and technologies from core biopsies taken from patients diagnosed with invasive recurrent or metastatic breast cancer. All results will be uploaded, stored and assessed using the IT Molecular Screening Prototype Platform (MSPP). The MSPP will also be evaluated for ease of use to screen patients for participation in future molecularly defined clinical trials in breast cancer.
This study will allow to assess liver related injuries in HIV patients.
This is an open-label 2-part Phase I study in patients with advanced solid tumours. Part A of the study (mandatory) will assess the effect of olaparib on the pharmacokinetics (PK) of anastrozole, letrozole and tamoxifen and vice versa; Part B will allow patients (if eligible) continued access to olaparib after the PK phase and will provide additional safety data.
This study will assess the long-term safety and efficacy of repeating treatment with MabThera, in combination with methotrexate and steroids, in patients who were previously randomized into studies WA16291 or WA17043. The anticipated time on study treatment is until Mabthera is available on the local market and the target sample size is 100-500 individuals.
The AfFIRM Study is a Phase 2 study during which patients with advanced multiple myeloma will receive single-agent investigational study drug filanesib (ARRY-520). Patients will be followed to determine the effectiveness of filanesib in treating myeloma. Approximately 160 patients from North America and Europe will be enrolled in this study. Eligible patients will have received at least two prior lines of therapy; have received prior bortezomib and lenalidomide; and have disease refractory to carfilzomib and/or pomalidomide.
In accordance with the regulatory guidance this registry has been designed to collect information about the long-term safety of Adempas in real clinical practice outside the regulated environment of a controlled clinical study.
Vitamin D has pleiotropic effects. Burn patients are at risk of hypovitaminosis D and may experience post-injury osteopenia and sarcopenia. Investigators hypothesized that vitamin D supplementation during one year can improve bone and muscle health in post-burn period.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of enzalutamide with trastuzumab in patients with HER2+ AR+ metastatic or locally advanced breast cancer.
