Has Pulmonary Rehabilitation a Positive Impact on Sleep Quality in Patients Suffering From COPD ?

Start date: November 15, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of our study is to assess the impact of pulmonary rehabilitation on objective sleep quality in COPD patients.

NCT ID: NCT03314467 Completed - Diabetes Mellitus Clinical Trials

Role of Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome in the Occurrence of Diabetic Retinopathy in Type 2 Diabetes.

Start date: October 6, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is the most common visual complication of diabetes. Risk factors for developing DR are diabetes duration, glycemic control, and hypertension . The prevalence ranges from 17 to 61% according to the diabetes duration . Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) is very frequent in Type 2 Diabetes population, reaching a prevalence of 23-48% . Few is known about the exact role of OSAS in the development of DR. A recent study has shown that OSAS is an independent predictor for the progression to pre-/proliferative DR. The purpose of the present study is to assess if the presence of OSA in diabetic patients is a predictive factor for DR occurrence.

NCT ID: NCT03314441 Completed - Primary Insomnia Clinical Trials

Effects of Regular Practice of Yoga on Subjective and Objective Sleep Quality in Primary Insomnia

Start date: November 8, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to assess the effects of regular Viniyoga in patients suffering from primary insomnia.

NCT ID: NCT03314363 Completed - Acute Renal Failure Clinical Trials

Plasma CO2 Removal Due to CRRT and Its Influence on Indirect Calorimetry

MECCIAS
Start date: April 26, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of the present study is to assess the metabolic impact of Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and overview the obstacles and important factors compromising the use of Indirect Calorimetry in CRRT and suggest a model to overcome these issues.

NCT ID: NCT03313180 Completed - Clinical trials for Lung Diseases, Interstitial

A Trial to Evaluate the Safety of Long Term Treatment With Nintedanib in Patients With Scleroderma Related Lung Fibrosis

Start date: November 27, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The main objective is to assess long term safety of treatment with oral nintedanib in patients with Systemic Sclerosis associated Interstitial Lung Disease (SSc-ILD).

NCT ID: NCT03310125 Completed - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Colchicine For The Prevention Of Perioperative Atrial Fibrillation In Patients Undergoing Thoracic Surgery (COP-AF)

COP-AF
Start date: February 14, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The prevention of perioperative atrial fibrillation (AF) and myocardial injury after non-cardiac surgery (MINS) has the potential to reduce mortality, stroke, and hospital stays in patients undergoing major thoracic surgery. Data from cardiac surgery patients suggest that prevention of perioperative atrial fibrillation using an anti-inflammatory agent, such as colchicine, is feasible. The COP-AF trial will assess whether the administration of oral colchicine will reduce the incidence of perioperative atrial fibrillation and myocardial injury after non-cardiac surgery in patients undergoing major thoracic surgery.

NCT ID: NCT03309605 Completed - Genetic Disease Clinical Trials

Start date: October 11, 2017
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Phase 1 Multiple Ascending Dose Study in Normal Healthy Volunteers

NCT ID: NCT03309280 Completed - Thoracic Surgery Clinical Trials

Influence of Different Parameters on Extubation Time After Cardiac Surgery.

Start date: October 9, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of this study is to determine which factors could be at risk of delayed extubation after cardiac surgery.

NCT ID: NCT03309202 Completed - Hepatic Impairment Clinical Trials

Study of PF-05221304 in Subjects With Varying Degrees of Hepatic Impairment

Start date: December 19, 2017
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Hepatic impairment PK study

NCT ID: NCT03309085 Completed - ARDS, Human Clinical Trials

Functional Respiratory Imaging of Airways in ARDS

Start date: August 13, 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a prospective single-center cohort trial to compare regional bronchial recruitment, bronchial distention and alveolar recruitment in 6 patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). The investigators used CT scan images as the imaging modality, and the subjects were scanned on end-expiratory lung volume with different positive end-expiratory pressures. Those images were post-processed to evaluate the airways.
