NCT ID: NCT00369317 Completed - Clinical trials for Secondary Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Combination Chemotherapy in Treating Young Patients With Down Syndrome and Acute Myeloid Leukemia or Myelodysplastic Syndromes

Start date: March 2007
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This phase III trial is studying how well combination chemotherapy works in treating young patients with Down syndrome and acute myeloid leukemia or myelodysplastic syndromes. Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) may kill more cancer cells.

NCT ID: NCT00368472 Completed - Epilepsy Clinical Trials

4-Year Open-Label Extension Phase of the Parallel-Group Study of E2007 in Patients With Refractory Partial Seizures

Start date: October 2006
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine the safety of perampanel given as adjunctive, long-term treatment in patients with refractory partial onset seizures.

NCT ID: NCT00368173 Completed - Laron Syndrome Clinical Trials

IGF-I/IGFBP-3 Therapy in Children and Adolescents With Growth Hormone Insenitivity Syndrome (GHIS) Such as Laron Syndrome

Start date: n/a
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

STUDY OBJECTIVE To evaluate the safety, tolerability, and efficacy, as growth velocity (statural growth), of rhIGF-I/rhIGFBP-3 administered for 12 months in pre-pubertal children and adolescents with GHIS. STUDY DESIGN This study is an open-label, multi-center clinical trial to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of rhIGF-I/rhIGFBP-3 to increase rate of growth when administered once daily for 12 months in children and adolescents with growth hormone insensitivity syndrome (GHIS) such as Laron Syndrome. At the end of the initial twelve-month treatment period, additional safety and long-term efficacy data will be assessed in a second 12 month treatment period.

NCT ID: NCT00367952 Completed - HIV Infection Clinical Trials

A Long Term, Safety Study of Apricitabine in HIV-infected Subjects

Start date: August 2006
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The study will examine how safe and effective apricitabine is when given long term (as ongoing treatment) to HIV patients who have already completed the AVX-201 trial

NCT ID: NCT00367770 Completed - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

BREATHE 5-OL: Tracleer (Bosentan) in Patients With Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Related to Eisenmenger Physiology

Start date: January 2004
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This 6-month open label study will evaluate the long term safety of bosentan (via oxygen saturation) and efficacy (exercise capacity) in patients who have completed the BREATHE-5 study (PAH related to Eisenmenger physiology). Treatment duration is 6 months.

NCT ID: NCT00366249 Completed - Diabetic Foot Clinical Trials

Study Evaluating the Safety and Efficacy of a Once-daily Dose of Tigecycline vs Ertapenem in Diabetic Foot Infections (DFI) With a Substudy in Patients With Diabetic Foot Infections Complicated by Osteomyelitis.

Start date: January 2007
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study was to look at the safety and effectiveness of a once-daily dose of tigecycline compared to ertapenem for the treatment of diabetic foot infections. The co-primary efficacy endpoints were not met.

NCT ID: NCT00366145 Completed - Clinical trials for Graft Versus Host Disease

Efficacy and Safety of Adult Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells to Treat Steroid Refractory Acute Graft Versus Host Disease (GVHD)

Start date: August 17, 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and gather additional safety information for Prochymal® in participants who have failed to respond to steroid treatment of Grades B-D acute GVHD.

NCT ID: NCT00364351 Completed - Clinical trials for Non Small Cell Lung Cancer

Efficacy Trial Comparing ZD6474 With Erlotinib in NSCLC After Failure of at Least One Prior Chemotherapy

Start date: August 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

To determine if ZD6474 a new investigational drug, is effective in treating Non Small Lung Cancer and if so, how it compares with another type of anti cancer therapy chemotherapy, Erlotinib

NCT ID: NCT00363623 Completed - Myopia Clinical Trials

Comparison of Contact Lens Maintenance Systems for Silicone Hydrogel Lenses

Start date: August 2006
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The primary purpose of this study is to investigate the performance of contact lens maintenance systems when used with silicone hydrogel contact lenses during daily wear over a period of 1 month.

NCT ID: NCT00363415 Completed - Clinical trials for Small Cell Lung Cancer

Study of Pemetrexed and Carboplatin Compared With Etoposide Carboplatin to Treat Extensive-Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer

Start date: August 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is a Phase 3, global, multi-center, open-label study of patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer. Eligible patients will be randomly assigned to receive either pemetrexed plus carboplatin or etoposide plus carboplatin. It is anticipated that pemetrexed plus carboplatin will offer similar survival benefits as compared to etoposide plus carboplatin.
