There are about 10460 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Australia. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study will comprise a randomized controlled, counter-balanced, cross-over trial to evaluate the independent effects of a high cholesterol (high egg), low saturated fat diet and a high saturated fat, low cholesterol diet on blood lipids. Evaluations also include analysis of physical activity as there is emerging evidence that the lutein and zeaxanthin in egg yolk may increase physical activity levels by crossing the blood-brain barrier and altering neuronal function. The study will also investigate effects on a number of novel lipoprotein parameters (particle size and particle concentrations).
This is an open-label, Phase 1b dose escalation and expansion study to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of OP-1250 in combination with palbociclib (Ibrance®️, Pfizer Inc.). Purpose of study is to evaluate the safety and pharmacokinetic (PK) profile, and estimate the preliminary anti-tumor activity of the combination in adult subjects with hormone receptor-positive (ER+ / HER2-) advanced or metastatic breast cancer (MBC).
Stargardt disease 1 (STGD1) is the most prevalent form of juvenile macular degeneration. It is caused by a rare, inherited autosomal recessive trait, leading to severe and irreversible blindness by the first or second decade of life. Earlier onset of the disease is related to a rapid vision loss, while patients with a later onset tend to have a better prognosis. This study will enrol subjects aged 12-18 years old with a confirmed clinical diagnosis of Stargardt disease type 1 (STGD1). This study will include 2 phases, the phase 1b portion is to determine the optimal dose for phase 2 based on the extent of retinol binding protein 4 (RBP4) reduction after 2 cycles of tinlarebant treatment. The phase 2 portion will evaluate the safety and efficacy of a single daily dose of tinlarebant over a 24-month treatment period.
The study aims to assess the impact of models of HCV care on HCV testing, treatment uptake and cure within Cairns. Point of care testing for HCV , with test and treat strategies will be offered within a primary care service.
Oncocross is developing OC514, a drug-drug combination product containing 2 active pharmaceutical ingredients for cancer cachexia. This study is designed to assess the safety and tolerability of single and multiple oral doses of OC514 in healthy adult volunteers.
This is a multi-center study to compare the efficacy and safety of itolizumab versus placebo as first-line therapy for subjects with Grade III-IV aGVHD or Grade II with LGI involvement, in combination with corticosteroids
This study aims to investigate the efficacy and safety of depemokimab compared with mepolizumab in adults with relapsing or refractory EGPA receiving SoC therapy.
This is a prospective single arm cohort study designed to evaluate the diagnostic ability of 68Ga-FAPI-PET/CT scan in determining likely tissue of origin in Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP) patients not identified by standard of care. Patients with CUP will be either treatment naïve or starting second-line treatment.
This study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of EMB-09 and to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and/or recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D). Pharmacokinetics (PK), immunogenicity, and the anti-multiple myeloma activity of EMB-09 will also be assessed.
