There are about 6915 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Austria. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The present study aims to investigate whether FLIO can also detect shorttime changes in retinal metabolism induced by hyperoxia and hypoxia. For this purpose, 48 healthy subjects will be included in the present study and changes in FLIO will be assessed during breathing of 100% oxygen to induce hyperoxia as well as during breathing of 12% oxygen in nitrogen to induce hypoxia. Since stimulation with flickering light also induces a higher metabolic demand in the retina (functional hyperemia), thisprovocation test will also applied during breathing of the different gas mixtures and compared to baseline. To gain information about retinal blood flow, optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A) will be performed. The results of the present study can help to gain more insight into the physiology of the retinal metabolism and might give grounds to establish new biomarkers in future studies.
The RESPOND Outcomes study is a research study around use of antiretroviral and other relevant drugs and long-term clinical outcomes in patients living with HIV. Data collected in this study will be used to answer key unanswered questions regarding treatment of people living with HIV.
The reason for this study is to see if the study drug baricitinib is safe and effective in participants from 1 year to less than 18 years old with systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (sJIA). Participants are assigned to 1 of 2 cohorts. In cohort 1, participants will receive baricitinib or tocilizumab reference. In cohort 2, participants will receive baricitinib.
The objective of the study is to clinically assess the safety and effectiveness of LIQOSEAL® as a means of reducing intra- as well as post-operative CSF leakage in patients undergoing elective cranial intradural surgery with a dural closure procedure to show noninferiority compared to a control group.
This registry is being conducted to support ongoing post-market surveillance activities.
The Carnation Ambulatory Monitor (CAM) is an innovative diagnostic patch device that allows to differentiate the different kinds of arrhythmias more precisely than any other ECG-monitoring device. It attaches on the sternum and can be carried for a week without any breaks. This allows a continuous rhythm monitoring without any gap for 7 days. This device will be used in dialysis patients to monitor arrhythmias during changes in volume and/or electrolyte balance due to dialysis, in the phases after dialysis as well as before dialysis in the short or long intervals between dialysis sessions.
This observational study is to document the application of human bone graft in the surgical treatment (epiphysiodesis) of leg length discrepancy or primordial gigantism and its subsequent healing process.
This open randomized trial investigates, if clinicians complete CTCAE ratings differently when receiving patients' patient-reported outcome (PRO) data prior to their CTCAE completion. The primary objective is to demonstrate superior inter-rater reliability of CTCAE ratings from physicians relying on EORTC PRO data as additional data source over traditional CTCAE ratings not including PRO information.
To compare the event-free survival at 2 years of CPX-351 vs. conventional care regimens before allogeneic blood cell transplantation as first line treatment in patients with higher risk MDS and oligoblastic AML.
BERING-MELANOMA - designed as a prospective, longitudinal, non-interventional study - investigates real-world effectiveness, quality of life, safety and tolerability of encorafenib plus binimetinib in unresectable advanced or metastatic BRAF(Rapidly Accelerated Fibrosarcoma isoform B)-V600-mutant malignant melanoma after commercial availability of these two products in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The study focusses on the documentation of the first and second line setting (i.e. after one line of prior checkpoint inhibition) by documenting patients treated according to the SmPC (Summary of Product Characteristics).
