There are about 6915 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Austria. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This is a double-blind, randomised, multi-centre, placebo-controlled, comparative, phase IIb trial. The trial will be conducted with three treatment groups in the form of a parallel group comparison and will serve to compare oral treatment with either 1500 mg/d or 1000 mg/d norUDCA tablets vs. placebo tablets for the treatment of NASH.
Atopic dermatitis (AD; also known as atopic eczema) is an inflammatory skin disease. The safety and effectiveness of upadacitinib for AD has been well-documented in previous studies, however, important information is missing on the use patterns and outcomes with upadacitinib in a real-world setting. Therefore, the purpose of this observational study is to help inform real-world usage patterns regarding the safety and effectiveness and duration of response of upadacitinib in adolescent and adult AD participants >=12 years old in the real-world setting. Upadacitinib is an approved drug being developed for the treatment of AD. Around 975 adolescent and adult participants who are prescribed upadacitinib for the treatment of AD in routine clinical practice will be enrolled worldwide. Participants will receive oral upadacitinib as prescribed by their physician. Data from these participants will be collected for approximately 2 years. There will be no additional burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the course of the study at a hospital or clinic and will be asked to provide additional information by questionnaire at each visit.
Theoretical framework: Hypotension during surgery directly impacts patients' postoperative outcomes and complications. Decrease in blood pressure measurements secondary to anesthetic drugs is an expected scenario in most surgical cases. Moreover, hypovolemia secondary to fast pre-operative period may facilitate post-induction hypotension which can be compensated by fluid bolus pre-operatively.
This registry will capture real-world clinical use patterns and associated clinical outcomes with the use of CytoSorb for the removal of antithrombotic agents.
RadioVal will develop and implement interoperable solutions for clinical deployment of the radiomics tools, including information, training, and communication packages for clinicians and patients, as well as standard operating procedures for the integration of radiomics in clinical oncology. With this study, we will clinically validate these solutions, by looking at their reliability for precise breast cancer diagnosis, treatment recommendation and prognosis estimate, treatment response, evaluation of residual disease and outcome prediction.
Prospective cohort study on patients with intertrochanteric fractures under direct oral anticoagulation (DOAC) therapy undergoing early surgical fixation (within 24 hours). The primary aim of this study is to evaluate the reduction of the peri operative blood loss. The secondary aim is to assess the influence of early surgical fixation of intertrochanteric fractures in patients with DOAC therapy on the 30-day and 1-year mortality. Moreover, the prospective cohort group of patients will be compared with a retrospectively analyzed age-, gender- and fracture-type-matched control group of patients who underwent delayed surgical fixation from January 2014 to December 2018 (≥ 48 hours).
The BIPLONG (The Bipolar Disorder in the Longitudinal Course ) study is a longitudinal study on the course of bipolar disorders and comprises two sub-studies: On the one hand, BIPLONG examines the genetic foundation and change in bipolar disorder, on the other hand, metabolic changes, clinical symptoms and cognition in bipolar disorders is evaluated. A current subproject of BIPLONG is the analysis of the psychological response of the COVID-19 (Corona virus disease) pandemic. With the parameters examined in BIPLONG, it is hoped to gain better understanding of the bipolar disorder in the longitudinal course.
This is a multicenter, double-blind, parallel-group, placebo controlled, 2-part study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ZX008 when used as adjunctive therapy for the treatment of uncontrolled seizures in children and adults with cyclin-dependent kinase like-5 (CDKL5) deficiency disorder (CDD).
Critical ill COVID-19 patients often develop respiratory, hemodynamic and neuropsychiatric complications. An imbalance of sympatho-parasympathetic nervous system is discussed as one of the reasons. The nervus vagus is essential for controlling the sympatho-parasympathetic nervous system and the inflammatory processes. Aim of this study is to evaluate whether Nervus vagus stimulation decreases the rate of complications (e.g. need of mechanical ventilation, hospital stay, mortality) in critical ill patients.
This study aims to demonstrate superior efficacy and equivalent safety of the SELUTION SLR™ DEB 014 compared to plain (uncoated) balloon angioplasty in the treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) in the BTK arteries in CLTI patients.
