There are about 6915 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Austria. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Previous studies suggested that vitamin D deficiency is highly prevalent in cirrhotic patients and is related to the degree of liver dysfunction as well as mortality. In gastrointestinal disorders, vitamin D absorption can be highly reduced. We herein aim to investigate the efficacy of oral vitamin D supplementation in cirrhotic patients with vitamin D insufficiency.
A one year study assessing the efficacy and safety of secukinumab compared with placebo in adult patients with moderate to severe palmoplantar pustular psoriasis - amended with an optional extension treatment period of up to a total of 148 weeks
This global, multicenter, open-label, randomized, controlled study evaluated the efficacy and safety of atezolizumab (an anti-programmed death−ligand 1 [anti-PD-L1] antibody)compared with docetaxel in participants with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) after failure with platinum-containing chemotherapy. Participants were randomized 1:1 to receive either docetaxel or atezolizumab. Treatment may continue as long as participants experienced clinical benefit as assessed by the investigator, i.e., in the absence of unacceptable toxicity or symptomatic deterioration attributed to disease progression.
The study will be conducted to investigate the pharmacokinetics of ampicillin / sulbactam and amoxicillin/clavulanic acid during intermittent haemodialysis.
The objective of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of 12 weeks once daily treatment with orally inhaled tiotropium + olodaterol FDC (delivered by the Respimat inhaler) compared with tiotropium and placebo in patients with COPD.
The objective of this study was to evaluate the AqueSys XEN Implant [XEN® Gel Stent (XEN45 Implant)] for the treatment of moderate primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) participants when medications have failed to control intraocular pressure (IOP). Effectiveness was evaluated by comparing medicated preoperative IOP to postoperative values. Additionally, the number of topical IOP-lowering medications at screening were compared to the number of IOP-lowering medications at 1 year.
This is a multicenter, multinational, randomized, parallel-group, double-blind, placebo-controlled, dose range finding study to compare the efficacy and safety of different doses of pridopidine versus placebo in the treatment of motor impairment in Huntington's Disease (HD).
The primary objective of the trial was to investigate the efficacy of apomorphine continuous subcutaneous infusion compared to placebo in Parkinson's Disease patients with motor fluctuations not well controlled on medical treatment. The secondary objective of the study was to investigate the safety and tolerability of apomorphine continuous subcutaneous therapy.
This study will evaluate the effect of Avastin (15mg/kg iv) in combination with Docetaxel and Xeloda, given as pre-operative therapy to patients with primary breast cancer. Avastin will be administered every 3 weeks, for the first 5 cycles of chemotherapy. The anticipated time on study treatment is 3-12 months.
The purpose of this open-label, multicenter, randomized, Phase III study is to evaluate the benefit of venetoclax in combination with rituximab compared with bendamustine in combination with rituximab in participants with relapsed or refractory CLL. Participants will be randomly assigned in 1:1 ratio to receive either venetoclax + rituximab (Arm A) or bendamustine + rituximab (Arm B).
