There are about 4010 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Argentina. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The primary purpose of the protocol is to evaluate the sensitivity of 3D-pQCT (3D-Peripheral Quantitative Computed Tomography) technology to detect minute changes in bone microarchitecture.
This study will evaluate the longer-term glycemic effect of two medicines approved for initial treatment of type 2 diabetes. The study consists of a 2 week screening period (2 study visits), followed by an 80 week double-blind treatment period (11 study visits). Also, a sub-study was included to look at changes in bone mineral density (BMD) at the lumbar spine.
The purpose of this study is to compare the effect of arzoxifene to raloxifene on the bone mineral density (bone strength).
AV-412 is a new oral therapy developed to inhibit the growth of solid tumors in patients who have not responded to standard therapy or surgical interventions, or who have experienced relapse. This study will test the safety of AV-412 and determine the maximum tolerated dose for the treatment of solid tumors.
Prednisolone will be used as a model medication to identify new clinical outcomes for future evaluation of new therapies in short-term studies (up to 4 weeks) in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
This 2 arm study assessed the efficacy of Mycophenolate Mofetil (MMF; CellCept) compared to cyclophosphamide in inducing a response in patients with lupus nephritis, and the long term efficacy of MMF compared to azathioprine in maintaining remission and renal function. Patients were randomized to receive either MMF (1.5 g twice daily [bid]) or cyclophosphamide (0.5-1.0 g/m^2 in monthly pulses) in the induction phase. Those patients meeting criteria for response were re-randomized for entry into the maintenance phase, to receive either MMF (1 g bid) or azathioprine (2 mg/kg/day).
To evaluate the efficacy and safety of micafungin in patients with proven invasive aspergillosis and who are refractory or intolerant to previous systemic antifungal therapy. To compare the efficacy and safety of the micafungin therapy with the active control arm
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of pioglitazone-azilsartan, once daily (QD), in subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus with poor glycemic control.
This study was designed to evaluate and compare the safety and efficacy of an oral dual tyrosine kinase inhibitor, lapatinib, versus placebo in women with early-stage ErbB2-overexpressing breast cancer who have completed their primary neoadjuvant or adjuvant chemotherapy and have no clinical or radiographic evidence of disease.
This is a study to evaluate the effectiveness of erlotinib compared with a placebo sugar pill following complete surgical removal of the tumor with or without chemotherapy after surgery in Stage IB-IIIA NSCLC patients.
