The goal of this pilot clinical effectiveness trial is to compare a brief parent behavioral intervention (PBI) to a modified sleep focused PBI (SF-PBI) delivered by therapists in pediatric primary care for families of children 3-5 years old with sleep problems and early ADHD symptoms. The main aims are to: - Demonstrate acceptability, feasibility, and appropriateness of the SF-PBI. - Examine change in sleep and ADHD symptoms among preschoolers with ADHD symptoms receiving SF-PBI compared to the brief PBI.

Monitoring Activity And Gait In Children

COHORT A: To study whether a digital health tool called Actigraph can be used to collect information on gait and physical activity in healthy children aged 3-17. The study will be conducted at the Pfizer Innovation Research Laboratory (PfIRe Lab) in Cambridge MA. In the lab at the first visit, we will ask participants to do activities such as walking on different surfaces as well as to roll a dice and move between different activity stations. Children will wear 2 Actigraph devices, one as a watch and one as a belt. They will then go home and do usual daily activities while answering a brief daily activity diary for approximately 2 weeks. The conclusion of the study will be over the telephone and include questions on the comfort and wearability of the device. The analysis of gait and physical activity as well as adherence and wearability will be looked across three different age groups 3-5, 6-11, and 12-17. COHORT B: Cohort B of the study aims to evaluate the feasibility of the Panoramic Bracelet and associated algorithms such as SleepPy and GaitPy compared to the GENEActiv device and to evaluate the comfort and wearability of the Panoramic Bracelet. The results of this study will enable the use of novel devices in future clinical trials measuring scratch and sleep. . In the lab at the first visit, we will ask participants to do activities such as walking on different surfaces as well as to roll a dice and move between different activity stations. They will then go home and do usual daily activities while wearing both devices in the same wrist at different times stipulated in the protocol, answering a brief daily activity and sleep diary for approximately 2 weeks. Cohort B includes questions on the comfort and wearability of the Panoramic device on Day 7 approximately. The conclusion of the study will be over the telephone.The analysis will be looked across three different age groups 3-5, 6-11, and 12-17

Equal Oral Health in Children: The Hageby-model

Pregnant women - living in thecatchment area of a public dental clinic with known higher caries experience and generally lower socioeconomical status than at other dental clinics in the Region - are recruited for the study. Repeated information and surveys of dental knowledge, dental habits and medical conditions etc. is sample. Before birth, one month after birth, and 12 and 18 months after birth of the Child, the mother repeatedly answers questionnaires and recieves information about dental care. At 18 months,and at the 3- and 6-year dental examinations the caries experience dmft/deft is registered. All Children and accompanying parent receives an individual caries preventive program between the examinations. Evaluation will be focused on possible caries sreduction and Health econimic aspects of the interventions.

Introduction: Investigating the interrelationship between physical condition, non-invasive health markers and executive function in preschoolers, is based on the current health and cognitive development situation of this population, especially the low socioeconomic level. National figures estimate that the prevalence of overweight / obesity in the preschool population reaches 53.6%, exposing not only the development of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, but also affect cognitive potential. Physical condition is a powerful health marker independent of nutritional status. Its evaluation together with the evaluation of non-invasive health markers and executive function in preschoolers inside educational establishments is essential to investigate alterations at an early age that could be prevented with adequate interventions in schools. However, to achieve this, valid, reliable and comparable tools are needed internationally. Objective: to analyze the factors that affect the configuration of a diagnostic model which includes the physical fitness and physical activity levels, motor development, non-invasive risk factors and neuropsychological development in preschoolers. Methods: Observational study, case only, cross sectional. Enrollment 544 preschool child 4 to 5 years old. Primary Outcome is Physical fitness to "Prefit Battery", Secondary outcome non-invasive risk factors (Blood pressure, BMI, Waist circumference, neck circumference) Physical activity, Motor skills and Neuropsychological development. expected results: Determine the degree of association of physical fitness with non-invasive risk factors and neuropsychological development in preschoolers, determine the influence that physical activity level and motor development have on physical fitness and development a diagnostic model which includes the physical fitness and physical activity levels, motor development, non-invasive risk factors and neuropsychological development in Chilean preschoolers.

Minimalist Shoes Walking for Children

This is a single-blind randomized control study that will investigate the effects of a 12-week in-school walking training with minimalist shoes for local preschool children on intrinsic foot muscle size, muscle strength, and foot arch stiffness. The children in the control group will wear traditional footwear with arch support. It is hypothesized that walking with minimalist shoes may impose a positive impact to strengthen the IFM and promote foot arch stiffness for preschool children.
