The study of LVGN7409-201 is designed to use a bridging dose escalation to quickly establish the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and/or the recommended dose for expansion (RDE) as well as the recommended Phase 2 dose(s) (RP2D) of LVGN7409 as a single agent (monotherapy) in the treatment of locally advanced, metastatic or recurrent/refractory malignancy.
Poor health, and its treatment, has impact beyond the healthcare system into wider society. A person's productivity, taxable earnings, benefit payments and community contribution may all be adversely affected by poor health. Family members living with or caring for a patient may suffer equally, or sometimes more than the patient themselves, but this familial burden has gone largely unrecognised by healthcare systems. The Family-Reported Outcome Measure (FROM-16) is the first generic questionnaire designed to measure the impact of any chronic disease on the quality of life of family members or partners of patients with a health condition. Advance Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) are a novel & ground-breaking therapeutic approach for curative treatment of disease and/or injury where conventional treatments have been ineffective. Such disease/injury generally has an extremely high impact on the patient's quality of life, and also the quality of life of the patient's family, in particular those family members who take on the role of 'informal carer'. ATMPs usually have very high costs and this can limit their usage, especially in the context of low prevalence disease and publicly-funded healthcare systems, where healthcare providers may be reluctant to take on the cost burden of the ATMP therapy. As a result, there is a particular focus on the 'value' of ATMPs. An important component of value is 'Societal Value', where a treatment leads to societal contributions, and considering Societal Value may justify the high cost of ATMPs despite the relatively few patients cured. In this study, we will validate the FROM-16 for use as one measure of the Societal Value of very high cost, potentially curative treatments such as ATMPs.

Medical imaging commonly involves the use of radiation, such as x-rays, that can give detailed images of internal structures of the body but can carry a small risk of tissue damage due to the radiation involved. As such, the number of x-rays and computed tomography (CT) scans that an individual can have has to be minimised. Methods have recently been developed that make use of electromagnetic radiation for imaging purposes at terahertz (THz) frequencies, the region of the spectrum between millimetre wavelengths and infrared. Terahertz spectroscopic imaging uses low power levels such that adverse effects on tissues are insignificant and is safe for in vivo imaging of humans [1]. The terahertz region is between the radio frequency region and the optical region generally associated with lasers. Both the IEEE RF safety standard and the ANSI Laser safety standard have limits into the terahertz region. The focus of this project is to investigate THz spectroscopic imaging as a new and powerful tool for analysing skin properties, termed "THz skinometry". The novelty in this project lies in tailoring the instrumentation and algorithms of THz scanning to accurately measure properties of human skin (e.g. hydration levels and skin thickness) in vivo. The customised non-contact and pressure-controlled contact THz probes developed will be able to do spectroscopic measurements of skin in vivo at the molecular level. This will be the first demonstration of in vivo THz imaging of skin globally and will facilitate quantitative characterisation of skin in a way that has hitherto not been possible and could lead to a step change in THz technology usage (similar to that currently used in airport security scanners).

This study is designed to assess the safety and efficacy of Rosmalip® nutritional supplement compared to placebo in subjects with solid cancer for the prevention of infections including COVID-19.
This study aims to develop a web-based education program among cancer patients undergoing treatment of systemic chemotherapy and to evaluate the effect of the program on symptom control, quality of life, self-efficacy, and depression. Evaluating the effect of the web-based education programme among cancer patients will be useful in planning appropriate remote nursing interventions to increase the symptom control and quality of life of patients. A web-based education program was prepared in line with patient needs, evidence-based guidelines, and expert opinions and tested with 10 cancer patients. A single-blind, randomised controlled study design was applied. Pre-tests were applied to 60 cancer patients undergoing systemic chemotherapy, and the patients (intervention:30, control: 30) were randomized. The intervention group used the web-based education program for three months, and they were allowed to communicate with the researchers 24/7 via the website. The effectiveness of the web-based education program at baseline and after 12 weeks evaluated.
This is a multicentric, prospective, observational, transversal study, aiming to evaluate the health literacy of cancer patients using the approved French version of the Functional, Communicative and Critical Health Literacy (FCCHL) scale in 2 populations: - Population A: patients age 65 and over treated in an oncology or oncogeriatric outpatient clinic, or seen in an oncology or oncogeriatric consultation. - Population B: young patients age 18 to 64 treated in an oncology or outpatient clinic, or seen in an oncology consultation. The following questionnaires: - Approved French version of the FCCHL scale - Questionnaire on the use of digital tools adapted from the questionnaire on digital tools, will be completed once only. It will be completed by the participant during the oncology or oncogeriatric consultation or outpatient clinic appointment, in self-questionnaire mode or face to face, assisted if necessary by a family member or member of the medical team.
