Filter by:This is a dose escalation safety study of birinapant (TL32711) in combination with chemotherapy in subjects with advanced or metastatic solid tumors.
The main objectives of the study is to - Evaluate the knowledge acquisition and retention of 4th-grade students who participate in the St. Jude Cancer Education for Children Program - To examine the relationship between outcome measures (knowledge acquisition and knowledge retention) with covariates of interest such as self-reported age and gender - To compare the knowledge scores among schools and identify the schools that may show better improvement than others and factors associated with improvement
The aim of the study is to perform a prospective, multicenter research comparing capsule endoscopy with the video colonoscopy in the detection of the adenomatous polyps and cancer specifically in a high risk population (sensibility, specificity, NPV, PPV and diagnostic accuracy). The investigators will used the Pillcam II™ colon capsule (second generation) and a high resolution colonoscope (with high definition). Both procedures will be perform in the same day with an adapted bowel preparation.
The purpose of the study is to determine whether positron emission tomography using the new imaging agent 18F-FAC can be used for imaging cancer and/or inflammation.
The purpose of this study is to determine the biodistribution of a new agent 1-L-(2 deoxy-2,-18fluoroarabinofuranosyl) cytosine non-invasively in healthy humans and to evaluate whether it can be used to image cancer, autoimmune disease, and inflammation
Oral administration has many advantages above intravenously administrated drugs for patients. Up to now, oral administration of docetaxel as single agent has not been feasible due to low and variable bioavailability. This low systematic exposure to docetaxel can effectively be increased after co-administration of ritonavir. The department of pharmacy of the Slotervaart Hospital and Netherlands Cancer Institute developed a solid oral dosage form for docetaxel, ModraDoc001 10 mg capsules. Two other novel dosage forms of docetaxel with improved pharmaceutical characteristics, have been developed: ModraDoc003 10 mg tablets and ModraDoc004 10/50 mg tablets. The systemic exposure after administration of those forms is now being investigated.
The primary purpose of this study is to examine how vulnerabilities in psychological and social situations affect financial quality of life.
The purpose of this study is to determine the maximum tolerated dose of Debio 0932 when administered orally, every-other-day or daily during the first 30 days, in patients with solid tumours or lymphoma.
In spite of long-standing hypothesis relating diet and physical activity to several cancers, diet and physical activity-cancer associations have been modest at best and often inconsistent in epidemiologic studies. Investigators around the world have become increasingly concerned that error in the measurement of both diet and physical activity is compromising our ability to detect these important but modest associations. Most commonly used diet and physical activity assessment methods have been based on a relatively small set of questions (e.g. 124 food items consumed or 5-10 physical activities in the past 12 months). Recent developments in computer technology provide an opportunity to use internet-based instruments to assess an individual s diet and physical activity more accurately and cost effectively.
The purpose of this study is to measure the therapeutic potential of Escherichia coli (E. coli) and yeast ribosomal Ribonucleic acid (RNA) fragments to maintain the production of platelets in patients undergoing cytotoxic therapy for cancer.
