Cerebral palsy (CP) is a permanent disorder of movement or posture due to non-progressive impairments of the developing brain. Current estimates indicate that as many as 30% of CP cases may be genetic in nature. In our study, the investigators will re-examine the data of children with CP, who are registered in the Slovenian National Registry of Cerebral Palsy. All children will be invited to the University Children's Hospital, University Medical Centre Ljubljana, where they will be re-examined by a neurologist. Blood for genetic testing will be taken. In the case of confirmed genetic ethiology of CP, the search for specific therapy will be possible.
The prevalence of common mental disorders is high in patients with chronic inflammatory physical diseases(e.g., autoimmune or infectious diseases). The traditional explanatory causation model in which physical symptoms and related disability drive mental health problems is now called into question, and evidence has accumulated supporting more complex interactions whereby psychiatric disorders can both result from and contribute to the progression of physical diseases. In the present project, the investigators will focus on comorbidity of depression and anxiety symptoms or syndromes with chronic inflammatory skin diseases (psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa and atopic dermatitis) or chronic infectious diseases (chronic HBV and HIV infection). The study is aimed to clarify the mechanisms underlying the high frequency of those comorbidities. It will overcome the main limitations of previous investigations and use innovative statistical tools to model complex interrelationships and causal links among the assessed variables. The identification of key variables driving the causal chain of determinants of poor global health and quality of life may impact treatment outcome and models of care.
Background and objective Vitamin D is important as the interaction between vitamin D and its receptors at the immune cells stimulates innate and adaptive immunity. Deficiency in vitamin D is associated with increased susceptibility to infection and it is commonly found in Indonesia. Several studies indicate the potential of vitamin D supplementation against Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), particularly in combating the proinflammatory situation as well as coagulopathy. This study aims to evaluate the supplementation of vitamin D in COVID 19 patients, particularly the changes in hematology parameters and other clinical parameters. Method A double-blind randomized clinical trial is conducted among moderate COVID 19 patients. High-dose of vitamin D is given orally in the intervention group, compared with a low dose of vitamin D. Hematology parameters, D Dimer, conversion time on Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test, and clinical symptoms are assessed Hypothesis High Dose vitamin D shows a better hematology parameter, short PCR conversion time, and faster clinical recovery
Patients were allocated to group A and B. In group A, balloon tamponade (using Foley catheter 28 Fr) was used intra-operatively to prevent post-partum hemorrhage. In group B, B lynch suture was used intra-operatively to prevent post-partum hemorrhage.
A total of 272 patients were randomly allocated into two groups, Patients in group A were treated with Macintosh laryngoscope and in groups B with McCoy laryngoscope was used for endotracheal intubation. This study choosed good health, aged 18 ~ 25, physical standard, the glucose tolerance test normal adults 12, oral glucose (reference) respectively in different periods, the valley of fiber powder upgrade formula, perfect meals, by extraction shu cereal bars, light appearance suits (by extraction shu compound dietary fiber powder, feeding combination 1:1) and 17 extraction enzyme 6 kinds of food, Venous blood was collected 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 and 120 min before and after oral administration respectively. Blood was collected for 7 times with 2mL each. The plasma is then separated to determine glucose levels. Blood glucose was measured within 3 h. With glucose as the reference, food glycemic index (GI) was calculated using the internationally used Wolever method. Time was taken as abscissa and blood glucose value at each time point was taken as ordinate to prepare the blood glucose response curve of each food tested after eating. The elevated glycemic area (AUC) under the glycemic curve was calculated geometrically, and the food GI and glycemic load (GL) values were calculated according to the following formula: GI value = (2 h post-meal blood glucose AUC of the tested food / 2 h post-meal glucose glucose AUC of the same amount of carbohydrate)×100, GL=GI*M(100g of the actual available carbohydrate of a food)/100.

This study ought to investigate the association of simple biomarkers such as NLR and PLR with the clinical outcome in SARS CoV-2 infection patients.
During critical personal protective equipment (PPE) shortages, such as those associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends N95 extended use (wearing the same N95 for multiple patient encounters) and limited reuse (storing an N95 between shifts for use over multiple shifts with or without decontamination) as contingency and crisis capacity strategies, respectively. Many healthcare workers (HCWs) are employing these strategies out of necessity. The sustained performance of these respirators depends on the respirator maintaining its filtration efficiency and its ability to provide an adequate seal (fit) to the user's face. Fit testing is performed when a respirator is issued to the user and on an annual basis thereafter. A user-seal check is then performed whenever a respirator is donned. Previous studies have found repeated donnings/doffings to significantly decrease the respirator's fit. A recent pilot cross-sectional clinical study conducted by the University of California, San Francisco found fit failures of respirators after being worn for 2 shifts. However, more definitive data regarding respirator performance during reuse and extended use are lacking. The investigators plan to address these critical gaps in knowledge by conducting a prospective cohort study to determine the incidence of N95 fit failure when subjected to extended use/reuse in a clinical setting. The investigators plan to enroll 396 ED providers (including physicians, nurses, and staff) when obtaining a new NIOSH approved N95s and performing serial fit tests at the end of each 8-12 hour shift for up to 5 clinical shifts or until N95 failure, whichever is earlier. By carefully measuring fit test failure in a clinical setting, the investigators will be able to provide guidance regarding the safety of N95 extended use and reuse necessitated by the need for PPE conservation. Specifically, the investigators will address the following research questions: 1) how long N95s maintain their fit during extended use, 2) how many times N95s can be donned/doffed and maintain their fit, 3) the ability of a user seal check to indicate fit in the field, 4) what adverse health effects, reports of discomfort, or symptoms are experienced by users during extended use and reuse, 5) what effect does extended use and reuse have on N95 filtration performance, 6) the level of contamination of N95s when subjected to extended use and reuse, 7) the effect of modifications to N95 (covering an N95 with a face shield or surgical N95s, facial coverings) on fit failure.
