Filter by:Post meno-pausal women with T1 Breast cancers will be randomized to receive either 600 centiGray (cGy) X 5 over five consecutive days (arm 1) versus 800 cGy X 3 fractions given every other day (arm 2). Patients will complete treatment in one week. All patients will be followed a month after the completion of treatment then q6 months for the first year, then yearly for the next 10 years.
The main purpose of this study is to see if Pembrolizumab in combination with chemotherapy (carboplatin and gemcitabine) is safe and effective in treating patients with metastatic triple negative breast cancer. Pembrolizumab is a drug which may help the immune system to target and destroy cancer cells. Pembrolizumab has been approved by the FDA for the treatment of advanced melanoma and metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. However, it has not been approved as a treatment for breast cancer.
This randomized phase II trial studies how well electroacupuncture therapy works in reducing chronic pain in patients following surgery for stage I-III breast cancer. Electroacupuncture therapy is a type of complementary integrative medicine in which pulses of weak electrical current are sent through very thin, solid, sterile, stainless steel needles into certain points in the skin. Electroacupuncture therapy may help to lower pain and other surgery-related symptoms.
This is a single-arm open-label multi-cohort Phase II study evaluating the safety/tolerability and clinical activity of the combination of nab-paclitaxel and the antibody against programmed cell death 1 (PD-1), pembrolizumab, in patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER-2) negative metastatic breast cancer (n=50). There will be two cohorts of patients consisting of a triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) cohort with 30 subjects and a hormone receptor (HR)-positive cohort with 20 subjects. There will be an initial safety run-in with 12 subjects from the TNBC and HR-positive cohort (~ 6 patients from each cohort). If no unexpected toxicity is observed (as defined in the study protocol), then enrollment will continue to complete both cohorts (30 total TNBC, 20 total in HR positive cohort). The subjects from the run in safety part will be included in the Phase II analysis. Tumor expression of programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) is not required for enrollment in the study, but will be assessed as possible predictive marker.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether ETBX-021 is safe and effective in the treatment of unresectable locally advanced or metastatic HER2-low-expressing breast cancer.
This randomized phase III trial studies whether weight loss in overweight and obese women may prevent breast cancer from coming back (recurrence). Previous studies have found that women who are overweight or obese when their breast cancer is found (diagnosed) have a greater risk of their breast cancer recurring, as compared to women who were thinner when their cancer was diagnosed. This study aims to test whether overweight or obese women who take part in a weight loss program after being diagnosed with breast cancer have a lower rate of cancer recurrence as compared to women who do not take part in the weight loss program. This study will help to show whether weight loss programs should be a part of breast cancer treatment.
This trial is designed to determine the feasibility of 1 year of adjuvant enzalutamide, an androgen receptor (AR) antagonist for the treatment of patients with early stage, AR(+) triple negative breast cancer (TNBC).
The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of abemaciclib plus tamoxifen or abemaciclib alone in women with previously treated hormone receptor-positive (HR+), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 negative (HER2-), metastatic breast cancer.
The main objective of the study is to evaluate the overall survival and disease-free survival in breast cancer patients under 40 years old. They underwent controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) for fertility preservation versus women of the same age, type and stage of breast cancer, who have not been subjected to COS.
This early phase I trial studies how well dynamic contrast enhanced molecular resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) and technetium-Tc99m sestamibi molecular breast imaging (MBI) work in assessing tumor response to chemotherapy in patients with triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) who are undergoing chemotherapy. Investigational imaging scans such as MBI and DCE-MRI may help researchers predict which patients may respond to treatment.
