NCT ID: NCT03996031 Completed - Cancer Clinical Trials

Plan to Thrive: Extending Cancer Survivorship Care Beyond the Clinic

PTT
Start date: August 19, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to test the usability of the Plan To Thrive smartphone application with cancer survivors. This study will involve three visits (baseline, follow-up, and feedback assessments). Between the baseline and follow-up time points, patients will undergo a 90-day period in which they will engage with app content. It is hypothesized that cancer survivors in this study will find the smartphone application, Plan to Thrive, an acceptable and feasible way to access post-treatment information. In addition, the investigators will explore preliminary efficacy by examining changes over time in primary (patient activation, patient knowledge and adherence to follow-up care recommendations and health behaviors) and secondary outcomes [symptom burden, health-related quality of life and patient satisfaction].

NCT ID: NCT03991260 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

99mTc-ADAPT6-based HER2 Imaging in Breast Cancer

99mTc-ADAPT6
Start date: June 5, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The study should evaluate distribution of 99mTc- ADAPT6 in patients with primary HER2-positive and HER2-negative breast cancer. The primary objective are: 1. To assess distribution of 99mTc- ADAPT6 in normal tissues and in tumours over time; 2. To assess kinetics of 99mTc- ADAPT6 in blood; 3. To evaluate dosimetry of 99mTc- ADAPT6; 4. To obtain initial information concerning safety and tolerability of 99mTc- ADAPT6 after single intravenous injection: The secondary objective is: 1.To compare the tumour imaging data with the concerning HER2 expression obtained by immunohistochemistry (IHC) or fluorescent in situ hybridisation (FISH) analysis of biopsy samples:

NCT ID: NCT03990012 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Infrared Imaging for Breast Cancer Modeling

Start date: June 13, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to obtain infrared (IR) images and video and three-dimensional (3-D) scans of patients referred for biopsy based on the results of their diagnostic breast exam(s). This research study is investigating infrared imaging (also referred to as infrared thermography, or digital infrared thermal imaging (DITI)) of breast cancer. The infrared images collected in this study will be used to construct a computational biothermal engineering model of the cancerous breast. Patients will undergo standard breast cancer screening procedures as part of routine care at Parkland Comprehensive Breast Center. For any patients who are referred for biopsy based on the results of their breast cancer screening procedures, this research study will take infrared images of the patient. Patients will undergo infrared imaging prior to biopsy but will not delay biopsy or treatment; infrared images & video may be recorded at biopsy visit. The biopsy will confirm/diagnose whether the patient has a benign or malignant condition.

NCT ID: NCT03989037 Completed - Clinical trials for HER2-positive Early Breast Cancer

A Study Of SIBP-01 Or CN-Trastuzumab Plus Docetaxel And Carboplatin In HER2 Positive Breast Cancer

Start date: June 27, 2019
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The study will compare PK, efficacy, safety, and immunogenicity of SIBP-01 (Trastuzumab Biosimilar) in combination with Docetaxel and Carboplatin versus Herceptin® (CN-Trastuzumab) approved in the CN in combination with Docetaxel and Carboplatin in patients with operable HER2 positive, with early or locally advanced HER2-positive breast cancer. The hypothesis to be tested in this study is the tpCR of patients with Cycle 6 of SIBP-01 is similar to CN-approved trastuzumab, using a 90% bilateral confidence interval between 0.74 and 1.5.

NCT ID: NCT03988036 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

A Study With Pembrolizumab in Combination With Dual Anti-HER2 Blockade With Trastuzumab and Pertuzumab in Early Breast Cancer Patients With Molecular HER2-enriched Intrinsic Subtype (Keyriched-1)

Keyriched-1
Start date: August 18, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Keyriched-1 is a multicenter, interventional, prospective, single arm, open label, neoadjuvant phase II trial evaluating the pathological complete response (pCR) rate induced by pembrolizumab in combination with the dual anti-HER2 blockade consisting of trastuzumab biosimilar ABP 980 and pertuzumab in early breast cancer patients with molecular HER2-enriched intrinsic subtype tested by PAM50.

NCT ID: NCT03985267 Completed - Depression Clinical Trials

A New Mindfulness Intervention Called Mindfulness Based Swinging Technique (MBST) for Women With Breast Cancer

Start date: November 29, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

It is hypothesised to find that the new mindfulness intervention of Mindfulness Based Swinging Technique (MBST) for Women With Breast Cancer is an effective therapeutic intervention to be applied in breast cancer population. This intervention intended to support patients' management of their chronic illness (self-efficacy) by increasing their hope about their treatment and alleviate anxiety, as well as increase patient saturation level. Therefore, enabling patients to continue to their medical as well as psychological treatment will result improved anxiety, stress levels, hope and self-efficacy. It is known that mental health needs of cancer patients differ from people who do not suffer from a chronic illness.

NCT ID: NCT03983538 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Mathematical Modeling to Predict Response to Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy in Breast Cancer

Start date: June 2, 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a feasibility study evaluating the use of a mathematical model to predict response to standard neoadjuvant anthracycline / taxane based chemotherapy in patients with breast cancer.

NCT ID: NCT03983096 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Study on Physical Activity's Relationship With Cancer and Cognition

SPARCC
Start date: September 30, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This pilot study tests the effects of aerobic exercise training on cognitive function in breast cancer survivors (BCS). Participants will be randomized to a 12-week walking intervention or usual care. Walking participants will attend small group sessions led by an exercise specialist 3 times weekly. Usual care participants will complete baseline and post-testing and be offered two sessions with an exercise specialist. All participants will complete a fitness test, electrophysiology, and patient-reported outcomes at baseline and post-intervention. A subset of participants will also be invited to undergo magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The investigators will generate preliminary data on clinical and biological correlates of exercise and cognition, including treatment protocol, cardiorespiratory fitness, brain structure and function, and cancer-related fatigue.
