NCT ID: NCT06189950 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Intracranial Aneurysm

Registration Trial of the Intracranial Visualized Stent for the Wide-necked Intracranial Aneurysms:REBRIDGE

Start date: October 30, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This trial was designed as a prospective, multicentre, open, non-inferiority, randomised controlled clinical trial, with the control devices being MicroVention's LVIS Intraluminal Support Device and LVIS Jr. Intraluminal Support Device. Approximately 200 subjects with intracranial aneurysms would be enrolled for stent-assisted coiling embolisation according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria specified in this trial protocol. Subjects were evaluated by mRS preoperatively, at the time of device implantation, at the time of discharge from the hospital, at 1 month (±7 days) postoperatively, at 6 months (±30 days) postoperatively, and at 12 months (±60 days) postoperatively; subjects would underwent DSA imaging at surgery and at 6 months (±30 days) postoperatively, and MRA or DSA imaging at 12 months (±60 days) postoperatively. Unplanned follow-up of the subjects would performed when necessary, and data would be recorded to evaluate the safety and efficacy of intracranial artery stent for stent-assisted coiling embolisation for the treatment of intracranial aneurysms.

NCT ID: NCT06186024 Recruiting - Brain Diseases Clinical Trials

A PROSPECTIVE, MULTICENTER, SINGLE-ARM TRIAL FOR THE NEW SIZES OF BRIDGE STENTS FOR VERTEBRAL ARTERY STENOSIS: Bridge-MAX

Start date: September 27, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Aprospective, multicentre, single-arm clinical trial in which approximately 36 subjects would be enrolled using the Bridge 4.5 mm and 5.0 mm stent in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria in this protocol. The success rate of immediate post-procedure stent target lesion treatment was recorded for all subjects, and the incidence of in-stent restenosis (≥50% stenosis) was assessed by DSA imaging follow-up at 6 months (±30 days) post-procedure. The subjects were also followed up at 30 days (±7 days), 6 months (±30 days), and 12 months (±60 days) after stent implantation to assess safety events during the follow-up period. .

NCT ID: NCT06179368 Recruiting - Hepatic Impairment Clinical Trials

Throid Dysfunction in Liver Failure and Its Eddects Upon Outcome

Start date: January 1, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Liver plays an important role in the metabolism of thyroid hormones, as it is the most important organ in the peripheral conversion of tetraiodothyronine (T4) to triiodothyronine (T3) by Type 1 deiodinase.

NCT ID: NCT06172491 Recruiting - Delirium Clinical Trials

Automating Delirium Severity in the ICU

ADS-ICU
Start date: January 15, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this observational study is to develop a passive digital marker (PDM) for delirium severity and examine its performance in comparison to validated delirium severity tools in ICU patients >50 years of age. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Is the trained convolutional neural network able to reliably measure delirium severity. - Is the Passive Digital Marker able to accurately measure delirium severity - Is the Passive Digital Marker acceptable and usable by frontline ICU nurse clinicians, patients, and their identified proxies (i.e., caregivers). Participants will: - Study participation involves a video camera recording you 24 hours per day while you are a patient in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). - Study staff will visit you 4 times each day you are in the ICU. You will be asked questions each time they visit to train the digital marker and see differences between assessments and camera data.

NCT ID: NCT06170073 Recruiting - Aging Clinical Trials

Hong Kong Cohort of Abnormal Sleep in Ageing Population (HK-ASAP): Focusing on Brain Health and Sleep Quality

HK-ASAP
Start date: October 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Poor sleep quality can significantly jeopardize the brain health, cognitive functions, daily activities, quality of life, and even be implicated as a key potential contributing factor in the development of accelerated cognitive decline and prodromal dementia. Consequently, research efforts to understand, and therefore potentially model, the effects of sleep quality on cognition and brain health are of great pragmatic values.

NCT ID: NCT06149663 Available - Dravet Syndrome Clinical Trials

Intermediate-Size Expanded Access Protocol (EAP) for LP352

Start date: n/a
Phase:
Study type: Expanded Access

This is an intermediate-size expanded access program (EAP) study. The purpose of this EAP is to provide continued access to LP352, an investigational drug product being investigated in patients with Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathies (DEEs). The EAP study will allow continued treatment with LP352 for eligible patients diagnosed with treatment resistant DEEs who successfully completed an LP352 Clinical Trial (Enrollment by Invitation).

NCT ID: NCT06147999 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Brain Disorders - Alzheimer's Disease, Dementia, Parkinson's Disease, Traumatic Brain Injury

Impact of a Biophoton Therapy on Patients With Brain Disorders

Alzheimer
Start date: November 8, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Previous clinical studies revealed that the newly developed biophoton therapy has been safe and effective in treating patients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, stroke, traumatic brain injury, or Parkinson's disease. The current study is to confirm the previous clinical observation by conducting as a randomized, triple-blinded, placebo-controlled prospective intervention clinical research. About 80 patients with brain disorder (Alzheimer's disease, dementia, stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease) will participate in the intervention clinical study at the Tesla MedBed Center located in Butler, PA.

NCT ID: NCT06147596 Not yet recruiting - Concussion, Mild Clinical Trials

Heading in Football: Impact on Neural Blood Biomarkers

HEADLINE
Start date: June 1, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this observational study is to evaluate the safety of heading in football. We will study the release of biomarkers in blood that reflect microscopic neural damage. The main questions this study aims to answer are: - Does participation in a football match lead to a change in biomarkers that reflect microscopic neural damage? - Is the dose of exposure during a football match related to the magnitude of change in biomarkers that reflect microscopic neural damage? Participants will participate in a regular football match and provide blood samples before and right after the football match. The football match will be recorded on video to count the number of headers of all participants.

PRecisiOn Medicine In StrokE: Evolution of Plasma Brain-Derived Tau in Acute Stroke

PROMISE-BD-100
Start date: March 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The investigators recently identified Brain-derived tau (BD-tau) as a sensitive blood-based biomarker for brain injury in acute ischemic stroke: in patients with acute ischemic stroke, plasma BD-tau was associated with imaging-based metrics of brain injury upon admission, increased within the first 24 hours in correlation with infarct progression, and at 24 hours was superior to final infarct volume in predicting 90-day functional outcome. While informing on the relation of BD-tau with imaging-based metrics of brain injury, this cross-sectional study was restricted to BD-tau assessments upon admission and at day 2 and could not inform on key characteristics of the evolution of plasma BD-tau, including when exactly it starts to rise, how long it continues to rise, and how it is determined by infarct characteristics as well as comorbidities. Here, the investigators aim to assess plasma BD-tau every hour from admission to 48 hours after onset to evaluate the hypothesis that BD-tau rises immediately after onset and plateaus between three and 48 hours after onset.
