The main objective of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness, tolerability, and safety of tapentadol hydrochloride prolonged release in subjects suffering from severe chronic low back pain (LBP) who are taking either WHO Step I or Step II analgesics or no regular analgesics. This is a clinical effectiveness trial designed to establish a link between anticipated clinical outcomes and the clinical practice by means of selected measures of clinical and subject-reported outcome. The trial will compare the effectiveness of previous analgesic treatment (either WHO Step I or Step II analgesics or no regular analgesics) with that of tapentadol hydrochloride prolonged release (PR) treatment during defined periods of evaluation.

The purpose of this study is to identify how many females have persistent low back pain and/or pelvic pain 3-6 months post partum. The females that have persistent pelvic pain can continue in the study and be examined by a chiropractor. They will then divide the females into Hanne Alberts 5 subgroups of pelvic pain. The females that have one-sided pelvic pain will be invited to participate in a randomised controlled study where chiropractic intervention is compared to exercises.

Chiropractic for Back and Neck Pain in an Emergency Department Setting

This study aims to examine the efficacy of an Integrative approach utilizing Chiropractic as an add-on therapy for the treatment back and neck pain in an emergency department setting Chiropractic is well established as an effective treatment for back pain. The investigators cumulative experience in Asaf Harofeh Medical Center has shown Chiropractic to be an effective therapy for simple back and neck pain in an emergency room (ER) setting. This study will examine weather Chiropractic can decrease pain, increase range of motion and decrease anxiety in patients admitted to the Emergency Room with simple back and neck pain without neurological findings. Chiropractic will be performed as an add on therapy on top of analgesic therapy.
