Filter by:The aim this crossover designed study is to examine the effect of watching a relaxing video with using virtual reality glasses (VR-G) during the break period of a working shift on the stress levels of surgical nurses. Nurses will be asked to watch a relaxing video with using VR-G for 20 minutes at their break time (the first procedure). After one-week wash-out period, researchers will compare second procedure (no video watch with VR-G) to see if there is any difference on the stress levels of the nurses.

Musculoskeletal disorders such as adhesive capsulitis (AC) affect tissues such as muscles, bones, joints, tendons and ligaments and are the second most disabling condition worldwide. Musculoskeletal Systemic disorders are typically characterized by pain, limitations in joint range of motion or functional ability. Existing studies have shown that Virtual Reality (VR) is beneficial in pain management for example; pain relief during dressing changes in burn patients. VR can also reduce anxiety, distract from the fear of pain, and reduce stress. It can distract the patients who are afraid of moving due to pain and enable them to move freely. In this study, AC patients will be treated with VR application. Patients pain levels, upper extremity range of motion, functional activity levels and quality of life levels will be evaluated. A total of 36 patients will be included in the study. This observational randomized controlled study will contribute to the literature by investigating the effects of VR based exercises in individuals with AC.
Immersive virtual reality (VR) as a non-pharmaceutical technology may deliver effective behavioral therapies for postsurgical patients with acute pain. To determine the analgesic effects of VR on patients after thoracoscopic surgery. The investigators conducted a randomized clinical trial to determine the postoperative effect of VR on pain relief in patients undergoing thoracoscopic surgery.
The goal of this clinical trial is to test if the use of virtual reality glasses reduces the pain and anxiety that children feel when they perform a blood test. Children between 7 and 12 years old from 5 health centers and 2 hospitals will participate, and the children will be divided into two groups. In the control group, the analysis will be done in the usual way (for example, distracting with questions) and in the intervention group, the analysis will be done while the children use virtual reality. The satisfaction of parents and nursing will also be analyzed.
The aim of this study is to compare the effects of virtual reality and cervical mobilization on proprioception, balance parameters, pain, disability level, quality of life and overall felt effect in individuals with chronic neck pain. In addition, it is aimed to qualitatively evaluate the virtual reality perspectives of individuals with chronic neck pain.
type of study:A parallel-group trial design was used. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: 1. HI; The "Basic Life Support Knowledge Assessment Form" score average of the students in the intervention group participating in the VR will be higher than the control group. 2. H1; The Basic Life Support Application Evaluation Form score average of the students in the intervention group participating in the VR will be higher than the control group. A. For the classical BLS training group; Traditional BLS VR Training will be held in the classroom environment for 45 minutes in the form of a lecture, the training session will be terminated after watching the video and answering questions. Trainings will be conducted by Derya ASLAN HUYAR in terms of standardization of trainings. B.For VR BLS training group; After the introduction of VR in the VR hall, after the explanation of the basic concepts of BLS and the completion of the training through VR BLS scenarios, question-answer will be made and the session will be closed. Trainings will be conducted by Derya ASLAN HUYAR in terms of standardization of trainings.
This project will use a randomized controlled trial to test the effect of using Virtual Reality on pain, anxiety, patients' comfort, and satisfaction during colonoscopy. Patients will use a virtual reality head-mounted display and choose a visualized VR content to watch during colonoscopy. Colonoscopy will be initiated without standard sedatives and narcotics and using virtual reality distraction for as long as the patient would like (for a maximum of 20 minutes). Participants could opt out and/or request standard medications for pain at any time before or during the procedure.
Migraine is a common, debilitating neurologic condition affecting more than 900 million individuals worldwide. Established treatments for migraine include medications, vitamin and herbal supplements, neuromodulation, and behavioral treatment strategies. This study aims to determine whether a novel, home-based behavioral approach, combined biofeedback-virtual reality therapy, can improve self-reported migraine-related outcomes in individuals living with chronic migraine. In this randomized, controlled pilot study, 50 adults with chronic migraine are randomized to the experimental group (frequent use of a heart rate variability biofeedback-virtual reality device plus standard medical care; n=25) or wait-list control group (standard medical care alone; n=25). The primary outcome is reduction in mean monthly headache days between groups at 12 weeks. Secondary outcomes include mean change in acute analgesic use frequency, depression, migraine-related disability, stress, insomnia, and catastrophizing between groups at 12 weeks. Tertiary outcomes include change in heart rate variability and device-related user experience measures.
In this study, the effect of virtual reality, which is one of the pain relief methods, on the pain, fear and emotional appearance associated with the procedure, was evaluated in children aged 4-12 years who will undergo phelobotomy in a Pediatric Hematology and Oncology outpatient clinic.
