Filter by:Sixteen dental implants inserted in sixteen patients who were selected from the outpatient clinic of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Mansoura University, for the rehabilitation of missed single maxillary posterior tooth by an immediately loaded dental implants
a 24 Patients above 12 years old with missing upper incisor were divided into two groups, group 1: 12 patient will be treated by resin bonded bridge (RBB) with no preparation protocol, group 2: 12 patient will be treated by resin bonded bridge (RBB) with minimal preparation protocol. (RBB) retention/survival, patient's speech as well as thermal sensitivity and patient's satisfaction will be evaluated for 12 month at 3,6,9 and 12 month.
This case-control study aims to investigate the association of severe COPD with oral health.
A dental implant is an alloplastic material surgically inserted in a residual bone ridge, mainly with a prosthetic foundation. Nowadays the most widely used implants and with a higher degree of scientific evidence are the titanium root-form endosseous implants. In addition to the root component, the prosthodontic systems that allow the crown to be connected to the implant are very important. The aim of this project is to compare a classic anti-rotational straight esthetic multi-position attachment with the new anti-rotational straight esthetic slim multi-position abutment, both placed at the time of implant surgery. A multicenter randomized single-blind (for the patient) split-mouth randomized clinical trial will be performed to compare the composition, distribution and structure of the peri-implant tissues around the classic straight (control) and Slim (test) intermediate prosthetic abutments of the manufacturer Galimplant (Sarria; Lugo, Spain). The objective is to study which abutment design obtains a better biological seal from the clinical and histomorphometric point of view. For this purpose, 60 dental implants will be placed for the replacement of bilateral posterior absences in 30 patients attending the Master of Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery and Implantology of the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
The purpose of this study is to assess the outcome of a new bone level tapered implant when inserted either following an immediate placement protocol or an early placement approach and restored with single crowns out of two different ceramic materials adhesively cemented on a titanium bonding base.
Main aim of this study was to assess survival rates of short implants with a length of 4 mm in the edentulous mandible after 1, 3, and 5 years.
The aim of the study is to compare longitudinally the clinical performance of dental implants with different surfaces placed in single tooth gaps at the posterior maxilla and mandible of adults. It is a randomized clinical trial, in which participants will be randomly allocated to two groups: test group (implants with hydrophilic surface) and control group (implants with hydrophobic surface). The null hypothesis is that the implant stability quotient of hydrophilic and hydrophobic dental implants show a similar progression after placement in posterior tooth gaps.
To compare dimensional changes in extraction socket of single rooted teeth, 6 months post extraction, when grafted with xenograft versus allograft.
Congenitally missing tooth is one of the most common anomalies in human dentition. The treatment options of lateral incisor agenesis are closing the space with orthodontic treatment, implant treatment, conventional fixed dental prosthesis (FDPs) and resin-bonded fixed dentures (RBFDs). RBFDs are used frequently for single tooth absence in the anterior region due to their minimal invasive properties, high clinical success and patient satisfaction. With the development of new and stronger materials, RBFDs with metal framework have been replaced by glass ceramic, lithium disilicate, fiber-reinforced composite (FRC) and zirconia. The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical performance of CAD/CAM single-retainer monolithic zirconia ceramic RBFDs which cemented with two different resin cements.
This study is a clinical trial to determine the retention and durability of the anterior zirconia wing bridge. The type of zirconia-wing bridge the investigators are researching in this study has two wings which generally have three countersunk holes (meaning that the circumference of the outer portion of the hole is larger than the inner part of the hole). Composite resin (dental filling material) is placed in the holes as well as under and around the wings. Twelve patients will have bridges placed and be evaluated every 6 months (ideally) to determine if the bridge is staying in place (retention) and if it is resistant to fracture (durability).
