NCT ID: NCT06423742 Completed - Clinical trials for Tinnitus, Subjective

Consecutive Dual-Session tDCS in Chronic Subjective Severe to Catastrophic Tinnitus With Normal Hearing

Start date: December 15, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

We aimed to analyze the effect of continuous dual session tDCS in patients with severe chronic subjective tinnitus without any evidence of hearing loss in terms of relief of tinnitus perception, distress, and loudness. Also, we investigated the difference in the maintenance duration of the tinnitus suppression effect of consecutive dual session tDCS compared to other groups followed up for 2 months.

NCT ID: NCT05830604 Completed - Clinical trials for Temporomandibular Disorder

Evaluation of the Effect of Muscle Activity on Subjective Tinnitus in Temporomandibular Disorders

Start date: December 21, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Treatment of Temporomandibular Joint Disorder can help reduce subjective tinnitus levels. This treatment changes the electrical activity of the patient's chewing muscles. For this reason, the relationship between muscular change and tinnitus levels can be evaluated.

NCT ID: NCT05711641 Completed - Clinical trials for Tinnitus, Subjective

Action of Intra-auricular Topical Lidocaine on Tinnitus

Start date: September 2, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The main objective of this clinical trial placebo controled is to evaluate the action of intraauricular topical lidocaine on tinnitus. The question to be answered is whether lidocaine is superior to placebo (distilled water) in reducing tinnitus intensity when applied topically within the external auditory canal. Tinnitus intensity will be measured using the visual analog scale and acuphenometry before and after lidocaine or placebo application.

NCT ID: NCT05591144 Completed - Clinical trials for Tinnitus, Subjective

Short-term Oral Prednisone for Acute Subjective Tinnitus

STOP-FAST
Start date: October 30, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to investigate the efficacy of oral steroids in the acute tinnitus population. Participants will receive appropriate dosages of short-term prednisone and/or oral Ginkgo Biloba tablets.

NCT ID: NCT05271825 Completed - Clinical trials for Tinnitus, Subjective

Broadband Amplification as Tinnitus Treatment

Start date: May 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

- The effect of broadband amplification was tested in a double-blinded crossover study - Its effect was compared to an active placebo treatment - An improvement in tinnitus distress was found after use of broadband amplification - No effect was found on the tinnitus loudness

NCT ID: NCT05120037 Completed - Clinical trials for Tinnitus, Subjective

MRI Study of High Definition Transcranial Electrical Stimulation in Chronic Tinnitus (MRI HDtES-T)

MRI HDtES-T
Start date: January 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this research is to understand how a neurostimulation technique, transcranial electrical stimulation (tES), affects brain function in adults with chronic subjective tinnitus measured with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). This study targets a specific kind of tES called transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), where a mild, constant current is passed between electrodes placed on the scalp.

NCT ID: NCT04641156 Completed - Clinical trials for Tinnitus, Subjective

Effect of Physical Therapy Exercise Program and Low-Level Laser Therapy on the Treatment of Cervicogenic Somatosensory Tinnitus

Start date: December 10, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To determine the effectiveness of adding a physical therapy exercise program to low-level laser therapy on the treatment of chronic tinnitus treatment

NCT ID: NCT04565132 Completed - Clinical trials for Tinnitus, Subjective

HD-tDCS as a Treatment for Chronic Tinnitus

Start date: October 21, 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) aims to induce cortical plasticity by modulating the activity of brain structures. The broad stimulation pattern, which is one of the main limitations of tDCS, can be overcome with the recently developed technique called High-Definition tDCS (HD-TDCS). The objective of the current study is to investigate the effect of HD-tDCS on tinnitus in a large patient cohort.

NCT ID: NCT04310605 Completed - Clinical trials for Tinnitus, Subjective

Effectiveness of Specialised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for Tinnitus.

Start date: January 1, 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is an observational study of specialised CBT for tinnitus for adults delivered in routine care.

NCT ID: NCT04281953 Completed - Cancer Clinical Trials

Impact on Quality of Life of Long-term Ototoxicity in Cancer Survivors

Start date: September 5, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This project aims to explore, in depth, the burden of hearing loss and tinnitus on cancer survivors. Using semi-structured interviews, audiograms and a variety of validated questionnaires, the specific impact ototoxicity has on quality of life will be investigated. From this, we can identify the specific needs of patients experiencing hearing loss and tinnitus following chemotherapy and develop a tailored and personalised support system.
