Filter by:This randomized phase III trial studies the best dose of apixaban and how well it works in preventing secondary cancer related venous thrombosis in cancer patients who have completed anticoagulation therapy. Apixaban may help in prevention by blocking some of the enzymes needed for venous thrombosis.
This study is designed to determine the safety, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of a single intravenous dose of TS23 in healthy adults.
The purpose of the study is to prospectively assess the prevalence of venous thrombosis in women hospitalized for Cesarean Section, vaginal delivery or extended antepartum hospitalization by using Compression ultrasound of the entire proximal venous system of the lower limb veins.
Objectives of the study are: To estimate the incidence of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in a cohort of women with suspected ovarian cancer and evaluate changes in the coagulation system in case of benign or malignant disease. The impact of changes in the coagulation system on disease prognosis will be evaluated.
TAVR is an increasingly used technique for the treatment of aortic valve stenosis. However, recent clinical experience has suggested that subclinical aortic valve bioprosthesis thrombosis may occur early after valve replacement. The frequency of this potentially ominous phenomenon on both transcatheter and surgical aortic valve bioprosthesis is unknown, as this condition is difficult to detect. The recent development of cardiac 4D computed tomography imaging (4DCT) shows great promise for the evaluation of valve leaflet mobility and morphology. The purpose of this study is in an observational design to assess the frequency of subclinical abnormal leaflet motion and morphology in patients treated with transcatheter or surgical aortic valve bioprosthesis. In addition, the 'natural evolution' of this phenomenon as well as its relation to medical treatment and MACCE will be assessed.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether early mobilization after Achilles tendon rupture can speed up healing, prevent development of venous thromboembolism and improve patient outcome.
The purpose of this study is to validate the International Warfarin Pharmacogenetics Consortium (IWPC) algorithm in a prospective cohort of elderly people (65 years or older) with heart valves and/or nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (AF) and at least one comorbid condition, and to assess the algorithm's prognostic relevance.
The aim of the current study is to test the clinical performance of the everolimus-eluting BVS compared with that of the durable polymer everolimus-eluting stent (EES) in patients undergoing PCI in the setting of acute MI.
Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria is an acquired chronic hemolytic anemia, this study is designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Levamisole combined with cyclosporine A in patients with Subclinical Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria and PNH in the setting of another bone marrow failure syndromes
Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria is an acquired chronic hemolytic anemia, this study is designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Levamisole combined with cyclosporine A in patients with classic paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria.
