Filter by:University students, especially graduate students, are constantly striving to achieve their goals, and their performance is constantly being evaluated, which creates a plethora of stressors, such as tests, a large amount of content to be learnt, lack of time, getting poor marks, and living up to their expectations. Mindfulness has been demonstrated to benefit one's emotions in a 'non-judgement' way. Evidence suggests that VR-based mindfulness practice may help individuals maintain present-moment awareness and block out distractions and may be more effective than conventional mindfulness approaches. The current pilot study aims to test the feasibility and acceptability of VR-based mindfulness practices in graduate students.
This study is to evaluate the efficacy of a probiotic supplement on weight management and metabolic health. This study will be conducted as a hybrid trial consisting of both in-person visits and virtual assessments. Two groups will be included: the intervention (SlimBiotics Probiotic) and placebo. The SlimBiotics probiotic formula is the first plant-based probiotic targeting weight management and metabolic health. Other competing probiotics are isolated from humans (feces) but the strains in SlimBiotics were isolated from a fermented plant (millet porridge cereal). This product contains 3 probiotic strains: Limosilactobacillus fermentum K7-Lb1 Limosilactobacillus fermentum K8-Lb1 Limosilactobacillus fermentum K11-Lb3

Stress and anxiety form an integral part of organizational life in universities. Studies reveal that the stress experienced by academicians has increased dramatically in recent years. Stress affects employee performance. In order to reduce the stress level of female academicians, methods such as non-pharmacological treatment, massage that can be applied to support scientific medicine, acupressure, hot and cold application, therapeutic touch should be used. The non-pharmacological methods that investigators will look at in our research are therapeutic touch and reiki. The improvement of the balance in the body and the reduction of negative effects such as pain, stress and anxiety with non-pharmacological touch methods are explained by Gate Control and Endorphin theories. The universe of the research will be female academicians working at Osmaniye Korkut Ata University. participants will be determined by the block randomization method. Data; It will be collected using the Introductory Information Form, Depression, Anxiety and Stress Level Assessment Form. TT and Reiki application will have positive contributions as it is a non-pharmacological method, easy to apply and low cost. When the studies were examined, no other study was found in the same application as our study. Therefore, in this study, it was aimed to evaluate the effect of therapeutic touch and reiki practice on anxiety and stress levels in female academicians.
Patient undergoing surgery is exposed to many stressors: diachronic (gesture anticipation), synchronic (intraoperative aggression) and historical (subject's personality). Reducing the level of stress experienced is a factor for improving the quality of the surgical gesture and the simplicity of the follow-up. The previous methods used were intended to reduce the body's reactivity to aggressions through anaesthesia consultation and L-Tyrosine supplementation. Currently with the progression of outpatient surgery and the need for early rehabilitation, L-Tyrosine supplementation is suppressed to improve recovery. Some patients, however, have a high level of stress that may require anxiolysis when the ideal treatment does not exist (ineffective hydroxyzine, benzodiazepines having many side effects). The strategy of this work is to improve the body's ability to respond to stressors, by administering l-tyrosine with no impact on waking or returning home.
Patients with chronic diseases, especially rare diseases with uncertain diagnoses, have a representation of their disease and an experience of their hospitalization that is sometimes traumatic, distressing and painful. Patients hospitalized can benefit from non-medicinal techniques, such as medical hypnosis, which could improve the perceived stress in these patients and thus optimize the hospitalization experience. The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of medical hypnosis in reducing stress and improving the experience of hospitalization comparing two groups : a group (cases) benefiting from an hypnotic technic " the place of safety " and a control group without intervention during hospitalization
The simulation-based learning method causes a sense of anxiety in students. Studies have shown that progressive relaxation exercises have a positive effect on anxiety. This study, will be tried to determine the effect of the progressive relaxation exercises applied to the students before the simulation training on anxiety, student satisfaction, and stress. This study is an intervention study with a pretest-posttest control group. Before the study, Personal Information Form, State Anxiety Scale, Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence in Learning Scale, Perceived Stress Scale for Nursing Students, and Students' Vital Findings Evaluation Form will be applied. After applying progressive relaxation exercises to the intervention group, they will be taken to the simulation laboratory. The control group will be taken to the simulation laboratory without any intervention. After the simulation application, the scales will be re-applied and the vital signs of the students will be measured again.
