NCT ID: NCT06450080 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Study of the Relationship Between Clinical, Imaging and Biological Data in Patients With Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Tongue

ClimaBio
Start date: March 27, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) could be a very aggressive cancer and has a bad prognosis if not detected early and thus is associated with high mortality. The development of simple and reliable biomarkers for the early detection of SCC is one of the solutions to better diagnose, treat these tumors, evaluate and monitor treatments, and hence reduce mortality. In a previous work, the investigators demonstrated the ability of Proton Magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H-MRS) to non-invasively assess spectroscopic and metabolic profiles of tongue tissue in healthy subjects. In the present work, the investigators challenge the use of in-vivo 1H-MRS as a potential method for non-invasive metabolic monitoring of patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue undergoing therapy. Thus the main objective is to study the spectroscopic and metabolic differences, e.g. including variation in the metabolite TMA-Cho (trimethylamine-choline), of tongue tissue between healthy subjects and in patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue, before and after surgery.

NCT ID: NCT06377735 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Squamous Cell Carcinoma

BAI-BACE for Advanced Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Start date: May 1, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Bronchial arterial infusion plus bronchial arterial chemoembolization (BAI-BACE) has been reported as non-first-line therapy to treat lung cancer in many hospitals in China. BAI, which uses chemotherapeutic drugs directly injected into the tumor and achieved a high concentration in a short time to kill the tumor. Then BACE could seal off the tumor vessels. In this study, we aim to describe the efficacy and safety of BAI-BACE as non-first-line for advanced lung squamous cell carcinoma.

NCT ID: NCT06137274 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Head and Neck Cancer

Pilot Trial of Adaptive Radiotherapy Boost for HNSCC

Start date: December 18, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to determine if it is feasible to use magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to adjust a portion of radiation therapy for patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma . The technique under study will be used to personalize the study treatment based on response, keeping all treatments within standard of care guidelines.

NCT ID: NCT06047379 Recruiting - Colorectal Cancer Clinical Trials

Study type: Interventional

This multi-site, Phase 1/2 clinical trial is an open-label study to identify the safety, pharmacokinetics, and efficacy of a repeated dose regimen of NEO212 for the treatment of patients with radiographically-confirmed progression of Astrocytoma IDH-mutant, Glioblastoma IDH-wildtype, and the safety, pharmacokinetics and efficacy of a repeated dose regimen of NEO212 when given with select SOC for the treatment of solid tumor patients with radiographically confirmed uncontrolled brain metastasis. The study will have three phases, Phase 1, Phase 2a and Phase 2b.

NCT ID: NCT06041802 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Squamous Cell Carcinoma

A Study of MK-3475A (Pembrolizumab Formulated With MK-5180) in Japanese Participants With Recurrent or Metastatic Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma (R/M cSCC) or Locally Advanced (LA) Unresectable cSCC (MK-3475A-E39)

Start date: October 20, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of subcutaneous (SC) MK-3475A in Japanese participants with recurrent or metastatic cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma or locally advanced unresectable cSCC. The primary hypothesis is that MK-3475A will result in greater than 10% objective response rate (ORR) per Response Evaluation Criteria In Solid Tumors Version 1.1 (RECIST 1.1) as assessed by Blinded Independent Central Review (BICR).

NCT ID: NCT05932511 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Topical Ascorbic Acid for Treatment of Squamous Cell Skin Cancer

Start date: June 12, 2023
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Randomized comparative trial of a 30% solution of ascorbic acid in 95% dimethylsulfoxide applied topically twice a day for 8 weeks vs 5% imiquimod cream in the treatment of biopsy proven squamous cell carcinomas of the skin in otherwise healthy adult patients. Outcome measure was biopsy proven resolution of the carcinoma.

NCT ID: NCT05858229 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Neo-adjuvant Treatment for Squamous Cell Carcinoma Using Direct Tumor Injection With RP1.

Start date: June 16, 2023
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase 1b, single-center, open-label study, evaluating efficacy and safety of RP1 for the treatment of resectable cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma in up to 12 evaluable patients. In this study, patients will receive RP1 via direct intratumoral (IT) injection into superficial cutaneous solid tumors to assess the safety and tolerability as well efficacy of RP1 treatment. The primary efficacy population is up to 12 evaluable patients with resectable CSCC. The enrollment of patients with CSCC will determine study duration.

NCT ID: NCT05740774 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Head and Neck Cancer

Surgical Margin Assessment by 3D Ultrasound

Start date: January 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Complete removal of cancer encircled by a secure margin of healthy tissue is the aim of surgical oncology. A close or positive surgical margin reported by pathologist typically ends in adjuvant therapies (re-surgery and/or radiotherapy), which come with prognostic risks and financial cost. Therefore, ex-vivo imaging of removed cancer tissue may assist in margin evaluation. In this study, investigators aimed to investigate the correlation of 3D ultrasound to histopathology to assess tongue tumor margin status.
