NCT ID: NCT04451681 Completed - Clinical trials for Ankylosing Spondylitis

Evaluation of Physical Performance in Ankylosing Spondylitis Patients

Start date: January 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) can cause serious limitations in individuals' physical performance, as it involves the musculoskeletal system and can cause ankylosis and arthritis in both axial and peripheral joints. Although there are many studies showing these limitations nowadays, there is a need to show these limitations with more objective data with the new technology. Evaluating aerobic physical capacity; Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test (KPET) is frequently used in physical performance analysis today. In this study, the investigators want to observe the physical performance differences between 42 AS patients and 42 control group participants by applying KPET and present the expected performance losses in AS patients in the literature with objective data.

NCT ID: NCT04437394 Completed - Clinical trials for Ankylosing Spondylitis

Evaluation of Functions of Swallowing and Voice in Ankylosing Spondylitis Patients

Start date: June 30, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

In this study was to determine whether changes that occurred over time had an impact on the swallowing and voice functions depend of Ankylosing spondylitis patients.

NCT ID: NCT04435860 Completed - Clinical trials for Ankylosing Spondylitis

Muscle Strength Evaluations in Ankylosing Spondylitis

Start date: June 18, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study evaluates how the trunk and proximal girdle muscles are affected in male patients with ankylosing spondylitis, compared to healthy controls.

NCT ID: NCT04402554 Completed - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Survey of Cannabis Use in Patients With Chronic Inflammatory Arthritis

CannabisRIC
Start date: May 19, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Patients with inflammatory rheumatism very often have residual pain that is not easily relieved by conventional treatments. They can then use non-drug methods, such as physiotherapy, hypnosis or even cannabis. The aim of this study is to assess the percentage of patients who use cannabis to better relieve their pain or anxiety in chronic inflammatory rheumatism.

NCT ID: NCT04392596 Completed - AS Clinical Trials

Study of Bone Mineral Density and Trabecular Bone Score in Patients With Ankylosing Spondylitis

Start date: January 2, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Osteoporosis is a common complication of AS even in the early stages of disease. Yet, AS is also characterized by new bone growth that leads to syndesmophytes formation and subsequent vertebral ankyloses.

NCT ID: NCT04345458 Completed - Clinical trials for Ankylosing Spondylitis

Safety and Efficacy Study of Prefilled Liquid Etanercept(Yisaipu) for Active Ankylosing Spondylitis

Start date: March 6, 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This randomized, double-blind, phase III parallel-group non-inferiority study aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of prefilled liquid etanercept (Yisaipu) versus lyophilized etanercept powder (Yisaipu) in active ankylosing spondylitis patients.

NCT ID: NCT04320459 Completed - Clinical trials for Ankylosing Spondylitis

Alexithymia in Ankylosing Spondylitis

Start date: February 1, 2016
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The study included 55 patients having Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) for at least 1 year diagnosed according to the ASAS classification criteria who presented to our hospital's outpatient clinic and 55 healthy subjects. Demographic data were recorded for 55 AS patients who were subsequently assessed using the BASMI (Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Metrology Index) in terms of elasticity and spinal mobility as well as the BASFI (Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Functional Index) to determine functional status, the BASDAI (Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index) to assess the disease activity and the ASQoL (Ankylosing Spondylitis Quality of Life Questionnaire) to evaluate quality of life. The Toronto Alexithymia Scale-20 (TAS-20) was used for assessment of alexithymia and Beck's Depression Inventory (BDI) for depression among patients.
