Filter by:The aim of the present study is to investigate the incidence of chronic pain following breast cancer surgery in Cyprus, discover its associated risk factors and explore the impact of Pecs Blocks on the appearance of post mastectomy chronic pain symptoms
This is a single-institution pilot feasibility trial in which 10 subjects will be enrolled. The primary objectives are is to explore the feasibility of delivering radiotherapy for malignant skin and superficial soft tissue tumors using DaRT (Alpha Tau Medical, Tel Aviv, Israel), a form of interstitial brachytherapy which uses a novel radioisotope delivery system, as well as to determine the frequency and severity of acute adverse events. Secondary objectives will include assessments of radiotherapy-related adverse events, tumor response, radiation safety, stability of device placement, and associations with quality of life.
The aim of this study is to identify demographic & disease characteristics in pediatric oncology patients diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma Family of Tumors (ESFT) & treatment outcomes in these patients.
The third space robotic and endoscopic cooperative surgery (TS-RECS) combines the endoscopic techniques and the merits of Da Vinci surgical robot, such as flexible and precise instruments, tremors filtering system and a 3-D surgical view. TS-RECS takes full advantage of the methodology of the third space, making it possible to dissect gastric GISTs (gastrointestinal stromal tumors) entirely without the damage of mucosal layer. Here, this study preliminarily assessed the feasibility, safety and effectivity of the novel hybrid operation.
A retrospective evaluation of soft tissue tumors that have undergone core needle biopsy with US guidance (US-CNB)
The main purpose of this trial is to investigate the safety and tolerability of TAEST16001(TCR Affinity Enhancing Specific T cell Therapy)in the multi-line treatment failed advanced solid tumors except non small cell lung cancer, including liver cancer, gastric cancer, esophageal cancer, bone and soft tissue tumors, breast cancer, bladder carcinoma, prostate carcinoma, thyroid cancer, ovarian cancer and so on. The patients must meet the two criteria: human leukocyte antigens (HLA)-A*0201+ and NY-ESO-1 positive cells≥25% by immunohistochemistry.
The aim of this study is to identify demographic & disease characteristics in pediatric oncology patients diagnosed with soft tissue & bone tumors involving the extremities & treatment outcomes in these patients.
Phase II, non-randomized, two-stage study according to Bryant & Day The study enroll patients with Metastatic and locally advanced soft tissue sarcoma unfit to receive standard chemotherapy (doxorubicin/epirubicin and/or ifosfamide)
Investigation of application possibilities of optical spectroscopy within the field of surgical resection procedures to spare nerve tissue. Optical spectroscopy enables the possibility to specifically differentiate between different (human) tissues. The hypothesis is that incorporation of this technique into existing medical devices (e.g. medical blade) would enlarge the accuracy and reliability of these devices. Sparing of nerve bundles during surgery can lead to decreased postoperative morbidity rates.
This is a pilot study to investigate the performance of MR-guided Laser Induced Thermal Therapy (LITT) in the treatment of liver tumors.
