NCT ID: NCT05949034 Completed - Smoking Behaviors Clinical Trials

Effects of E-Cigarettes in Menthol Smokers

Start date: July 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The current laboratory study examines e-cigarette preferences and smoking behaviors in menthol cigarette smokers.

NCT ID: NCT05905666 Completed - Smoking Cessation Clinical Trials

Health Education and Counseling in Smoking Cessation Behavior, Smoking Decisional Balance, and Self-efficacy

Start date: December 29, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Most male smokers with coronary heart disease resume smoking after hospital discharge. The main reason for failure to quit smoking is lack of motivation. However, few studies have used individual health education models to explore the effectiveness of smoking cessation according to the stage of change in smoking cessation behavior of patients. The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of health education and counseling on the stages of change, smoking decisional balance, and self-efficacy of smoking cessation in smokers with no intention of quitting.

NCT ID: NCT05506046 Completed - Smoking Clinical Trials

Messages About Reduced Nicotine in Combusted Tobacco Products

Start date: October 12, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The investigators will conduct a message-exposure experiment with nationally representative samples of smokers, dual-users (cigarettes and e-cigarettes), and young adult non-smokers (aged 18-29). Experimental messages will address the reduction of nicotine in cigarettes. Participants will also complete a follow-up survey after 2 weeks, measuring their recall of the messages and behaviors since message exposure.

NCT ID: NCT05460650 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Acceptance and Usability of an App Promoting Healthy Behaviours Amongst Young Women at Increased Risk of Breast Cancer

Start date: November 3, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

It is estimated that around 20% of breast cancers (BC) in the UK are preventable through adherence to appropriate health behaviours, i.e., healthy diet, physical activity, limited alcohol, not smoking, and that women at increased risk of BC could benefit from greater decreases in risk than the general population via health behaviour changes. Young women (age <35 years) who are at increased risk of developing BC currently receive little or no information regarding health behaviours and BC risk, or support for behaviour change. This feasibility study aims to explore whether a novel app is acceptable to women at increased risk and could potentially engage them with improved health behaviours which could reduce their future risk of BC.

NCT ID: NCT05370859 Completed - Cancer Clinical Trials

mMe: Motivational Monitoring to Enhance Smoking Cessation Among Cancer Patients

mMe
Start date: July 18, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The objectives of this study are to pilot test a protocol of weekly assessments of motivation to quit and other relevant constructs combined with information about how to enroll in cessation programs, which will allow initial quantification of motivation to quit during cancer treatment and develop hypotheses about the impact of motivation on the decision to enroll in services.

NCT ID: NCT05307822 Completed - Smoking Clinical Trials

CSD210903: A Study to Determine Subject Puffing Patterns of a Heated Tobacco Product With Four Non-Combusted Cigarette Variants in an Ambulatory Setting

Start date: April 21, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a multi-center, open-label, parallel-cohort-study to evaluate the puffing patterns of healthy adult consumers of tobacco products switching from a usual brand (UB) combustible cigarette (CC) and/or a UB Heated Tobacco Product (HTP) to one of four investigational products (IPs), across two heating modes, over a 28-day ambulatory period.

NCT ID: NCT05210699 Completed - Smoking Clinical Trials

CSD201201: Study to Assess Elements of Abuse Liability for Electronic Nicotine Delivery System P12

Start date: March 21, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomized, open-label, 6-way crossover, multi-site study designed to evaluate elements of abuse liability (AL) including subjective effects and physiological measures (pharmacodynamics [PD]), and nicotine uptake (pharmacokinetics [PK]) during and following ad libitum use of the Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS) investigational products (IPs) in generally healthy combustible cigarette (CC) smokers and dual users of CC and ENDS.

NCT ID: NCT05157048 Completed - Smoking Behaviors Clinical Trials

Acute Cigarette Evaluation Study

SKY Pilot
Start date: March 10, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This single laboratory session pilot study will examine the acute effects of commercially available cigarettes on adult smokers' initial product perceptions, use, and exposure. Forty adult daily smokers will be randomized to smoke two study-supplied commercially-available cigarettes interspersed by 45 minutes, completing pre- and post-cigarette carbon monoxide and questionnaire measures.

NCT ID: NCT05114863 Completed - Smoking Clinical Trials

CSD200907: A Study to Assess Elements of Abuse Liability for a Heated Tobacco Product With Four Non-Combusted Cigarette Variants

Start date: November 29, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a single-center, open-label, randomized, 2-arm, within-arm cross-over study designed to evaluate elements of abuse liability (AL) including subjective effects and physiological measures (pharmacodynamics [PD]), and plasma nicotine uptake (pharmacokinetics [PK]) during and following ad libitum use of the study investigational products (IPs) by generally healthy smokers.

NCT ID: NCT04857515 Completed - Smoking Cessation Clinical Trials

Clinical Learning Study for a Mobile Smoking Cessation Program

Start date: March 12, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study are to obtain learnings regarding the Digital Therapeutic (DTx) experience of Clickotine, including acceptability and preference of the overall program and specific DTx components, as well as to obtain learnings related to adult participants' use of the DTx for smoking cessation.
