Sixty-eight postmenopausal women diagnosed with osteoporosis aged between 50 and 60 years were randomly allocated to one of two equal sets. The drug treatment group received calcium and vitamin D3 supplement daily for 12 weeks. While the drug/laser acupuncture group received laser acupuncture therapy for 20 minutes per session 3 times weekly, in addition to the same calcium and vitamin D3 supplement.

An Acupuncture Study for Prostate Cancer Survivors With Urinary Issues

Nocturia in Prostate Cancer Survivors - Acupuncture Pilot Study (NOCTURNAL)

The purpose of this study is to test whether acupuncture can improve nocturia in prostate cancer survivors. This is the first time acupuncture is being studied for nocturia in prostate cancer survivors. Researchers will see if acupuncture is a practical treatment option for prostate cancer survivors with nocturia. The study will also look at the effect acupuncture has on nocturia and other symptoms prostate cancer survivors experience such as insomnia, hot flashes, anxiety, depression, tiredness (fatigue), sexual dysfunction, and cognitive (mental) difficulties.

A Prospective Randomized Controlled Study of Acupuncture on Postoperative Delirium in Patients With Diabetes Mellitus

1. To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture on POD in diabetic patients undergoing surgery, to provide effective prevention and treatment measures of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine for reducing the incidence of postoperative delirium in high-risk groups, and to provide clinical basis for further promotion of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine anesthesia in the future. 2. To investigate the relationship between POD and rSO2 in diabetic patients undergoing surgery. To clarify the predictive value of intraoperative rSO2 monitoring on postoperative cognitive function in patients with diabetes, and to explore the effect of acupuncture on cerebral blood flow perfusion in patients with diabetes.

Effect of Acupuncture Combined With Biofeedback Electrical Stimulation on SUI

Clinical Observation of Acupuncture Combined With Biofeedback Electrical Stimulation in the Treatment of Female Stress Urinary Incontinence

Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with biofeedback electrical stimulation on female stress urinary incontinence. Methods: 90 patients diagnosed in a hospital from January 2020 to January 2021 were randomly divided into three groups A, B and C, and group A was treated with biofeedback electrical stimulation, 3 times a week for 30 minutes for 15 times. Group B used acupuncture treatment, including Guanyuan, Qihai, Zhongji, Zusanli, Sanyinjiao and Yinlingquan, once a day, Monday to Friday, 30 minutes each, a total of 10 times. Group C was treated with acupuncture combined with biofeedback electrical stimulation. All three groups were combined with pelvic floor muscle training. After treatment, the changes in class I, II muscle fiber, ICI-Q-SF score, and urine leakage in the 1h pad test were compared.
