Filter by:The purpose of this study is to evaluate effectiveness of Granexin® gel in reducing scar formation in surgical incisional wounds.
The overarching goal of this research is to assess whether the post-operative use of closed-incision Negative Pressure Therapy (ciNPT) accelerates healing of surgical wounds, improves surgical outcomes, and reduces the rate of local complications in high-risk, obese, post-bariatric patients undergoing abdominal body-contouring procedures (abdominal panniculectomy or "abdominoplasty") compared to standard wound care. The investigators postulate that ciNPT can cost-effectively improve outcomes and standard of post-surgical care in this specific category of patients. This hypothesis will be tested through a prospective, interventional, case-control, randomized clinical trial.
This will be a single centre, double-blind, placebo (vehicle) controlled, randomised, dose escalation trial. Three concentrations of topical salbutamol gel will be compared, in a group-wise fashion, with a placebo administration at one incision site on each arm of the trial subjects. Each participant will be allocated to only one dosing group. The treatments will be paired anatomically so that for each pair of sites, one closed incision site will receive the active substance, while the other will receive placebo.
The purpose of this pivotal investigation is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the Cutera enlighten multi-wavelength 532 nm and 1064 nm picosecond pulse duration laser and an investigational micro-lens array (MLA) handpiece attachment for improvement of moderate to severe acne scars.
Evaluate the Cutera excel V™ Laser with Green Genesis and a Micro-Lens Array (MLA) Attachment
Open-label, Prospective, Study to Evaluate the Cutera excel V laser at 532 nm in a low fluence, high repetition rate mode and the Micro-Lens Array attachment used with excel V laser at 1064 nm and 532 nm for the improvement of skin quality.
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and local tolerability of two different concentrations of of SCX-001 cream, as compared to placebo, when topically applied twice a day for 21 days to artificially induced dermal wounds in healthy volunteers. In addition, the absorption and elimination of profiles of this topically applied product will be determined through pharmacokinetic sampling. Assessments for effect of SCX-001 vs. placebo will be done but are considered exploratory.
This is a prospective, single-blinded, two-arm, randomized, parallel, pragmatic, effectiveness trial that will enroll patients undergoing arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in order to evaluate the efficacy of using Medipore tape to improve cosmetic wound healing and scaring.
The goal of this study is to establish the safety of high fluence LED-RL from 160 J/cm2 up to 640 J/cm2 in healthy subjects. The hypothesis is that high fluence LED-RL phototherapy is safe in human skin.
Prospective evaluation of the safety and efficacy of dHACM on clinical outcomes in lumbar laminectomy and microdiscectomy patients as assessed by Oswestry Disability Index.
