Filter by:The purpose of this study is to to evaluate the safety and immune response of COVI-VAC given as a single booster dose in healthy adults previously vaccinated against COVID-19 with an authorised mRNA or adenovirus-vectored vaccine. Approximately 30 participants who have been fully vaccinated ≥ 3 months ago will be enrolled and receive one dose of COVI-VAC. COVI-VAC is administered by drops into each nostril. To assess the safety of the vaccine, each participant will record symptoms and oral temperature in a diary daily for 7 days after receiving COVI-VAC or placebo. During the full study safety laboratory tests, physical exams, and vital signs (including oxygen saturation) will be conducted periodically for safety. Adverse events and medication use will be recorded. Blood samples and intranasal samples will be collected periodically to assess the immune response from the vaccine.
The effects of a tested and published music therapy respiratory protocol shown to be efficacious with pediatric asthma and adult COPD is being studied with individuals living with post-Covid-19 respiratory symptoms. An interventional, single arm study is being conducted with individuals meeting eligibility criteria detailed below. Primary outcome is a change in the MRC Dyspnea score, with secondary aims focusing on improved quality of life, including reduced fatigue and depression and improved sleep and resilience.
This is an interventional, multi-center, randomized study. Adults with confirmed covid-19 disease not more than 10 days before enrollment date will be recruited (n=1000). Patients in same condition who get treated with standard of care will be randomly assigned to the control group (n=1000), and patients in same condition who get treated with standard of care will be randomly assigned to the placebo group (n=1000). The investigators analyze the effect of Xagrotin, and also investigate impact of different characteristics for instance gender, age, duration of disease, smoking habits and concomitant diseases on the outcome.
The main purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of S-268019-b for the prevention of COVID-19 in the initial vaccination period prior to crossover in participants without evidence of infection before vaccination as compared to placebo.
The COVID-19 infection affects humans differently. While some recover quickly and fully, others develop serious illnesses and late complications. The term late complications describe symptoms that last for 12 weeks or longer after COVID-19 infection is detected. The aim of the present project is to investigate whether it is possible to identify genetic factors that occur more frequently in people suffering from COVID-19 late complications than in those who do not develop late complications. The investigators aim to develop a genetic profile that identifies individuals at high risk for late complications of COVID-19. Number and nature of late complications will be analyses to identify patterns in the incidence of late complications associated with certain genetic traits. The study is designed as a case-control study and is expected to include 500 subjects between 18 and 65 years of age who at least 12 weeks ago tested positive for COVID-19; 250 who suffer from late complications and 250 who have fully recovered.
Preliminarily explore the effect of oral probiotics in SARS-CoV-2 serum neutralizing antibody titer level and T cell response level (spot formation cell counting). Provide a reference for determining the appropriate oral regimen. Provide necessary parameters for estimating the sample size of confirmatory clinical trial.

This study will be a phase-1, open-label, placebo-controlled, evaluation of two-dosages of a live, recombinant Newcastle disease virus expressing the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 (NDV-HXP-S), an investigational product for IN, IM, or a combined IN+IM vaccination in healthy adults previously immunized against COVID-19. The IN and IM live virus vaccinations will be identical in composition and only differ in route of administration.
Vaccination is the best way to mitigate the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, but the vaccine immunogenicity may be quite variable from person to person. There is increasing evidence suggesting that the gut microbiome is a major determinant of vaccine immunogenicity. Thus, the investigators investigated the relationship between gut microbiota and humoral immune response after COVID-19 vaccination.
Brief Summary: SARS-CoV-2 virus infection is known to cause Lung Injury that begins as dyspnea and exercise intolerance, but may rapidly progress to Critical COVID-19 with Respiratory Failure and the need for noninvasive or mechanical ventilation. Mortality rates as high as 80% have been reported among those who require mechanical ventilation, despite best available intensive care. Patients with severe COVID-19 by FDA definition who have not developed respiratory failure be treated with nebulized ZYESAMI™ (aviptadil acetate, a synthetic version of Vasoactive Intestinal Polypeptide (VIP)) 100 μg 3x daily plus Standard of Care vs. placebo + Standard of Care using an FDA 501(k) cleared mesh nebulizer. The primary outcome will be progression in severity of COVID-19 (i.e. critical OR severe progressing to critical) over 28 days. Secondary outcomes will include blood oxygenation as measured by pulse oximetry, dyspnea, exercise tolerance, and levels of TNFα IL-6 and other cytokines.
