View clinical trials related to SARS-CoV-2.
Filter by:The aim of this observational, cross-sectional study is to evaluate the impact of the second national COVID-19 lockdown in Greece, regarding the aspects of depression, anxiety and eating habits, in relation to the adjusted work and family conditions, among diabetes mellitus patients.
Modes of transmission of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and specifically the proportion of airborne transmission in this infection is unknown. In the aeroCOVID study, a highly efficient bioaerosol and droplet sampling dummy is used to emulate a susceptible healthcare worker (HCW) and to perform patient proximity sampling. The dummy will measure the dummy-inhaled dose of SARS-CoV-2 in two particle size fractions in a standardized interaction with hospitalized coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients. All measurements are performed in a masked and unmasked dummy setup in parallel, in order to gain further information on the protection of type II masks against the respective particle size exposure.
This study is designed to compare the performance of the NOWDx COVID-19 Test to an emergency use authorized PCR test result. The intent is to show the rapid test device is comparable to a currently marketed device. The NOWDx COVID-19 Test is an in vitro lateral flow immunoassay intended for qualitative detection of total antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 in human whole blood (venous and fingerstick).
This project aims to investigate the sensitivity and specificity of the rapid antigen test compared to RT-PCR test performed on samples from the nasopharynx and the anterior nasal cavity and the oropharynx, respectively.
This is a Phase 2/3, randomized, multicenter, double-blind, dose-response study to evaluate the safety, immunogenicity, and efficacy of UB 612 in 2 age groups, adults 18 to 59 and ≥60 years of age with or without comorbidities.
The Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a new coronavirus discovered in December 2019 in Wuhan, China and currently responsible of a worldwide outbreak and the death of more than 55,000 patients in France. The more severe form of COVID-19 disease induces a pneumonia with profound hypoxemia which may require invasive mechanical ventilation. It is estimated that 5% of COVID-19 patients are admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for management. Hospital mortality in patients who develop severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) ranges between 40% and 60%. The investigators purpose to investigate the pathological findings of COVID-19 patients who died from ARDS in the ICU by doing post-mortem lung biopsies
This study aims to evaluate the safety (in all participants) and reactogenicity (in a subset of participants) of CVnCoV administered as a 2-dose schedule to adult participants 18 years of age or older. The study also aims to assess antibody responses to the receptor-binding domain (RBD) of spike (S) protein of SARS-CoV-2 after 1 and 2 doses of CVnCoV in adults 18 years of age or older included in a subset of participants.
This clinical trial will evaluate the safety, tolerability and immunogenicity of GLS-5310 DNA vaccine against SARS-CoV-2(COVID-19) in healthy volunteers.
Mortality due to Covid-19 is much higher in the elderly. There are several reasons for the vulnerability of the elderly to the coronavirus: a less efficient immune system, underlying chronic conditions, less protected living conditions. They may also present a poor nutritional state and/or degraded metabolic reserves aggravating an underlying state of frailty. The prevalence of the risk of undernutrition in elderly patients with COVID-19 is high. The evolution of the nutritional status of people aged 70 years or older infected with SARS-Cov-2 is not yet well known. The prognosis of these patients could depend on their nutritional status at the time of the disease. In view of the lack of data, it would be interesting to compare the risk of mortality based on nutritional status in individuals with vs. those without COVID-19.
Traditional Chinese medicine is regarded as a dietary supplement in many countries around the world. Dietary supplement, NRICM101, has been available for people who diagnosed, suspected or prevented for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in September 2020. It is expected to help people not to progress to severe illness, and reduce lung damage and mortality. The investigators gather the effects of people who taking NRICM101 using the Real-World Big Data Study and the network feedback information collection model. This study can be used as a reference for global prevention and control of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
