Filter by:This study aims: (1) to determine the optimal dose of emtricitabine/tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (FTC/TDF) for daily oral pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) during pregnancy based on drug pharmacokinetics, and (2) evaluate the maternal and infant safety of increased FTC/TDF doses during these periods.
This study will evaluate implementation strategies to address barriers and increase uptake of PrEP among Black cisgender women in Planned Parenthood of Illinois (PPIL) health centers.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate if offering long-acting injectable cabotegravir (CAB-LA) as an additional HIV prevention choice among oral PrEP-experienced men who have sex with men (MSM) in France can significantly increase the sustained PrEP use over time and the PrEP coverage of at-risk sexual risk behaviors.
This study was a prospective, multicenter, randomized controlled clinical study planned to recruit 254 hematological patients with allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT), who were randomly divided into two groups according to gender, type of transplantation, and type of primary disease. The control group was treated conventionally, and the experimental group increased moxibustion of Zhongji, Guanyuan and Qihai for 30 min qd starting on the first day after HSCT was performed until the 14th day after transplantation. Urine routine was collected daily before cyclophosphamide administration until +14d, and blood/urine BK virus, JC virus, and adenovirus were tested at four time points: +1d, +14 days, appearance of hematuria symptom, and remission of HC, and urine routine was tested once every 7 days for all patients within three months, and severity grading should be performed for patients with Hemorrhagic cystitis (HC), pain scores, and the main TCM evidence profile, aiming to evaluate the effectiveness of moxibustion in preventing HC in this group of patients.
Study the effect of intraperitoneal instillation vs intravenous ondansetron on PONV added to intraperitoneal bupivacaine for enhanced recovery and to decrease incidence of PONV after laparoscopic surgeries.
Men who have sex with men (MSM) have become a focus of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STD) control in China. Most of MSM who seek causal partners through online dating platforms do not know their sexual partners' real HIV and STDs infection status, which leads to more high risk status, especially for sexual behaviors. Effective Internet-based partner notification is urgently warranted to increase their risk awareness and prevent HIV and STDs transmission. This study developed an app which can help MSM to query recent HIV and other STDs statuses each other from the testing platform in order that they can find a relatively safety sexual partners and reduce risk of HIV infection.
We will evaluate an e_Prescription intervention can be integrated into an electronic screening program, which together exploit: (i) reach - the adult population has 100% mobile phone ownership and 92% internet national coverage; and (ii) behavioral change - the intervention can teach verbally and visually, thus bypassing literacy challenges, to allow simple, low-cost, repetition messaging for habit reinforcement. Uptake of the program through the various stages will be evaluated in ~2000 adults of a large representative suburban district of Karachi: As well as before-and-after physiological measures, including blood pressure (BP) and blood glucose, a random sample of 30-40 participants will be invited for interview to assess success and failure of the program. This is a pragmatic feasibility intervention implementation study.
