NCT ID: NCT05786235 Recruiting - Preeclampsia Clinical Trials

Patients Pregnant Women With or Without Primary Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome

Start date: December 6, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the ability of placental angiogenesis markers to predict the risk of PE in pregnancy in women with primary APS. To construct reference intervals of placental angiogenesis markers specific to women affected by primary APS in pregnancy by measuring the levels of sFlt-1and PlGF in serum maternal serum and their sFlt-1/PlGF ratio during the trimesters of gestation (I TM, II TM and III TM). For this aim the study will involve recruiting two groups of subjects, one will be cases and one will be controls.

NCT ID: NCT05772156 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Postpartum Hemorrhage

Prophylactic Methylergonovine for Twin Cesarean

Start date: March 7, 2023
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Obstetrical hemorrhage (excessive bleeding related to pregnancy) is a leading cause of maternal morbidity (disease or symptom of disease) and mortality (death) worldwide with a significantly higher frequency and severity following cesarean delivery. Twin gestations (twin pregnancy) are at particularly higher risk for postpartum hemorrhage, yet the management of obstetrical bleeding following twin delivery remains identical to singleton delivery. The purpose of this study is to understand the effect of prophylactic methylergonovine on blood loss in scheduled twin pregnancy cesarean deliveries. Participants will be randomized (like tossing a coin) to Methylergonovine (investigational drug) or water with salt (saline) (placebo). Methylergonovine or saline will be given as an injection immediately after delivery.

NCT ID: NCT05765188 Completed - Clinical trials for Pregnancy Complications

Impact of Age at Conization on Obstetrical Outcome: A Case-Control Study

OBSTETRICON
Start date: January 1, 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The maternity ward attached to the colposcopy clinic was also the obstetrical referral center for the region and carried out approximately 2500 deliveries per year. The aim of the study was to assess whether an age younger than 25 years at conization affected future pregnancy outcome as an independent factor. A retrospective study of 115 women who underwent both loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) and subsequent pregnancy follow-up in a referral center was conducted. Two groups were considered: patients younger than 25 years at the time of the loop electrosurgical excision procedure (n = 42) and 25 years or older (n = 73). Analyzed data were occurrence of preterm adverse obstetrical event and, specifically, preterm labor (PL) and preterm rupture of membranes; stratification based on term of occurrence was performed: less than 37 weeks of amenorrhea (WA), less than 34 WA, and less than 26 WA.

NCT ID: NCT05759507 Completed - Surgery Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Practices at the University Hospital of Nancy in the Context of Surgery During Pregnancy

Start date: January 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

About 2% of pregnant women are going through from surgery during pregnancy. These are mainly represented by emergencies like abdominal conditions such as appendicitis. Pregnancy raises the issue of possible diagnostic confusion associated with operational difficulties related to a gravid uterus, i.e. increased in volume, and possible induced obstetric complications like premature delivery or miscarriage. late. The management of these patients is therefore complex and the literature is poor on the subject.

NCT ID: NCT05754645 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Pregnancy Complications

The Microbiome in (Non-) Obese Pregnancy and Pregnancy Outcomes

PROMOTE
Start date: July 21, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This research aims to elucidate an underlying mechanism of maternal obesity induced pregnancy and longterm health complications for mothers and their offspring.

NCT ID: NCT05753124 Recruiting - Obesity Clinical Trials

Effect of Obesity, Diabetes and Bariatric Surgery on Pregnancy Outcomes

Start date: May 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The obesity epidemic is growing worldwide and in the UK this is perpetuated with a third of women classified as overweight/obese in 2020. Many of these woman are of childbearing age and go on to have high risk pregnancies which are often complicated by gestational or pre-existing (type 2 diabetes mellitus (GDM, T2DM). Bariatric surgery is the most successful treatment of sustainable weight loss and is associated with a reduction in rates of GDM, pre-eclampsia, delivery of large babies but increased risk of delivery of small babies and preterm delivery. The aims of the study are to investigate the maternal and fetal/neonatal, biophysical and biochemical, intra-uterine environment and postnatal profile of pregnancies: 1. affected by maternal obesity and/or GDM/T2DM compared to pregnancies with normal maternal body mass index (BMI). 2. with previous maternal bariatric surgery compared to pregnancies without previous bariatric surgery but matched for maternal pre-surgery and early pregnancy BMI.

NCT ID: NCT05739136 Not yet recruiting - Pregnancy Related Clinical Trials

MYFEMBREE®: A Retrospective Cohort Study Using an Administrative Healthcare Database to Assess Pregnancy Outcomes in Women Treated With Relugolix Combination Therapy

Start date: January 2025
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a retrospective cohort study that will be conducted using secondary de-identified electronic healthcare data (EHD) that originally were collected for the purposes of health insurance billing and/or routine patient care from healthcare providers (HCPs). The study is designed to evaluate the association between relugolix combination therapy (relugolix 40 mg, estradiol 1 mg, and norethindrone acetate 0.5 mg) exposure during pregnancy and subsequent fetal and infant outcomes.

NCT ID: NCT05739123 Recruiting - Pregnancy Related Clinical Trials

Relugolix Pregnancy Registry: An Observational Study of the Safety of Relugolix-Containing Therapy Exposure in Pregnant Women and Their Offspring

Start date: May 8, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The Relugolix Pregnancy Registry is a prospective, observational cohort study designed to evaluate the association between relugolix-containing therapy exposure during pregnancy and subsequent maternal, fetal, and infant outcomes. Data will be collected from enrolled pregnant women and the healthcare providers (HCPs) involved in their care or the care of their infants, if applicable.

NCT ID: NCT05720650 Withdrawn - Preeclampsia Clinical Trials

NCT ID: NCT05691036 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Health Related Quality of Life

Bile Acids Metabolism and Genetic Mutation Profile in the ICP in the Indian Population

ICP
Start date: December 8, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) is a disorder characterized by itching, elevated fasting serum bile acids ≥10μmol/L (and elevated serum transaminases), with increased risks of perinatal complications, including spontaneous preterm labor, fetal distress, infant respiratory distress syndrome, meconium-stained liquor (MSL), and sudden intrauterine death (IUD). The Incidence of ICP varies from 0.1 to 15.6% of all pregnancies, with the highest cases in Chile, South Asia, America, and Scandinavia. The burden of ICP in India according to various states is as follows Punjab (3.1%), Chandigarh (4.8%), Delhi (0.79%), West Bengal (3.3%), and Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) (2.8%).
