NCT ID: NCT06121895 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Postoperative Complications

Evaluation of Differences in Video Laryngeal Mask Airway and Fastrack Laryngeal Mask

Start date: November 10, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

In our study, patients who are intubated using VLM and Fastrack LMA for intubation purposes will be included. The placement times, intubation times, and the number of failed attempts for both devices will be recorded. Additionally, postoperative complications (sore throat, hoarseness, nausea-vomiting, additional antiemetic medication requirements, etc.) will be monitored and recorded.

NCT ID: NCT06114758 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Postoperative Complications

Comparison Effectiveness of Rectal Misoprostol & Intravenous Tranexamic Acid Reducing Hemorrhage in Myomectomy

Start date: September 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Fibroids are the most commonly encountered tumors in the female reproductive system. In patients, fibroids most often lead to abnormal uterine bleeding and the resulting anemia. In some cases, they can cause infertility or habitual abortions. Another complaint caused by fibroids is pain due to pressure and effects on adjacent organs. Very large fibroids can lead to abdominal swelling. Therefore, if a patient becomes symptomatic due to fibroids, myomectomy or, if necessary, hysterectomy is required. Because fibroids have a significant blood supply, there is a high risk of intraoperative bleeding and related complications. Additionally, the most common complication in these patients after the operation is bleeding. In many of these patients, intraoperative or postoperative blood transfusions are performed. If bleeding cannot be intervened early in these patients, hemodynamic instability, shock, coagulopathy, and, in the final stage, death can occur due to hemorrhage. Therefore, both intraoperative and postoperative bleeding control is of vital importance in patients undergoing myomectomy.

NCT ID: NCT06101511 Recruiting - Surgery Clinical Trials

Driving Pressure During General Anesthesia for Minimally Invasive Abdominal Surgery (GENERATOR)

GENERATOR
Start date: December 11, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this international multicenter, patient and outcome-assessor blinded randomized controlled trial is to determine whether the application of an individualized high Positive End Expiratory Pressure (PEEP) strategy with recruitment maneuvers, aiming at avoiding an increase in the driving pressure during intraoperative ventilation, protects against the development of postoperative pulmonary complications in patients undergoing minimally invasive abdominal surgery.

NCT ID: NCT06101498 Completed - Acute Kidney Injury Clinical Trials

Peroperative Fluid Management in Major Gynecological Cancer Surgeries

Start date: January 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of perioperative fluid management on postoperative kidney damage in gynecological cancer surgeries. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: Does fluid management applied with different hemodynamic monitoring methods affect the risk of postoperative AKI? In our clinic, three different fluid management strategies are applied depending on the anesthetist experience. Acute kidney injury will be evaluated according to the postoperative AKIN classification of conventional fluid therapy and targeted fluid therapy with noninvasive or minimally invasive monitoring.

NCT ID: NCT06101446 Completed - Dental Anxiety Clinical Trials

Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Aromatherapy on Anxiety, Vital Signs, and Postoperative Complications in Lower Impacted Wisdom Tooth Surgery

Start date: October 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Dental anxiety is considered to be one of the fears and concerns associated with dental treatment. Lavender has a relaxing and anxiolytic aroma. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of aromatherapy on dental anxiety in bilateral impacted wisdom tooth surgery.

NCT ID: NCT06095544 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetic Nephropathy

Enhanced Recovery After Surgery for SPK Transplantation Recipients

Start date: January 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

108 patients underwent elective SPK surgery were randomly divided into ERAS group (E) and routine care group (T). The ERAS group was consisted of evidenced-based systematic optimization approaches, while the control group received routine care.

NCT ID: NCT06092970 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Post-Operative Complications in Cardiac Surgery

An Evaluation of Patient Reported Outcomes and Clinical Outcomes

Start date: October 16, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This extension study is being conducted to assess the following objectives through 12 months post-cardiac surgery: - Patient reported outcomes (PRO), using the EQ-5D questionnaire - Clinical outcomes

NCT ID: NCT06092671 Not yet recruiting - Anesthesia Clinical Trials

Effect of Family-centered Perioperative Care for Anesthesia (FPCA) on Incidence of Emergency Delirium and Postoperative Maladaptive Behaviors in Children After Surgery

Start date: October 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Emergency delirium (ED) is one of the most common postoperative complications in pediatric patients and is associated with an increase of hospitalization time, healthcare costs, and increased incidence of postoperative maladaptive behaviors (POMBs). There is no clear pharmacological or non-pharmacological interventions that are effective in reducing the incidence of ED or POMBs. Therefore, the investigators aimed to assess whether family-centered perioperative care for anesthesia (FPCA) reduce the incidence of ED or POMBs in children compared with conventional preoperative pharmacological interventions.

NCT ID: NCT06088823 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Complication,Postoperative

Paresthesia in Hand and Antebrachium Following CardiacSurgery: Incidence, Risk Factors and Clinical Course

Start date: October 6, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

To describe the incidence and severity of Paresthesia in Hand and Antebrachium in patients that have undergone CardiacSurgery.

NCT ID: NCT06083558 Recruiting - Postoperative Pain Clinical Trials

Pain and Nausea After Gallbladder Surgery

Start date: January 1, 2016
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The study is primarily an exploratory study of quality registry data for a swedish national cohort of patients who have undergone gallbladder surgery or ERCP, with the aim of investigating the occurrence of pain and PONV (Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting) after gallbladder surgery. Furthermore, the investigators will explorer if there are factors related to the patient or the surgical procedure that are associated with a higher risk of PONV or pain.
