NCT ID: NCT05463081 Completed - Clinical trials for Urinary Incontinence

Clinical Trial of "Magic Gyno" Laser Device

Start date: August 5, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this prospective study is investigation of efficiency and safety of medical device "Magic Gyno" in accordance with the stated purpose. To assess the condition of the vaginal walls and vulva before and after laser treatment, the following methods will be used: gynecology examination, vaginal health index, clinical blood test, vaginal flora examination, vaginal pH. International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire - Short Form (ICIQ-SF), Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) and The Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) will be used to collect feedback on changes in the participants life quality. Total up to 70 participants with pathology of pelvic organs will be involved in the study. Participants will be divided into two groups: group with genitourinary symptoms and group with vaginal relaxation symptoms, by 35 participants in each. The time intervals between tests will be the same for both groups. The main hypothesis of the study is improvement in condition of the vaginal walls after laser treatment compared with the condition before treatment.

NCT ID: NCT05335317 Recruiting - Vaginal Atrophy Clinical Trials

Treatment of Vaginal Atrophy With Low Intensity Nanosecond Neodymium Laser

Start date: April 18, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of study is characteristic of changes in the vaginal wall after treatment of neodymium laser radiation with a wavelength of 1064 nm. To assess the condition of the vaginal walls before and after laser treatment, the following methods will be used: vaginal health index, perineometry, measurement of the vaginal wall thickness by ultrasound, Doppler sonography of the vaginal walls vessels, optical coherence tomography, biopsy, cytological and immunocytochemical methods. The King's Health Questionnaire will be used to collect feedback on changes in the participants life quality. Total up to 100 participants with and 20 participants without postmenopausal atrophy will be involved in the study. Participants will be divided into three groups: laser treatment (study group), topical hormones treatment (control group 1) and no treatment (control group 2) by 70, 30 and 20 participants in each group respectively. The time intervals between special tests and the tests themselves will be the same for all groups. Thus, a direct comparison between conventional treatment (topical hormones), laser treatment of the vaginal atrophy and normal condition without treatment will be made. The main hypothesis of the study is improvement in condition of the vaginal walls after laser treatment compared with the initial state of not less than thirty percent of participants, and improvement in condition on average compared with the control group.

NCT ID: NCT04735549 Completed - Vaginal Atrophy Clinical Trials

Vulvovaginal Atrophy Correction Using Neodymium Laser

Start date: September 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this prospective study is characteristic of changes in the vaginal wall and vulva after treatment of neodymium laser radiation with a wavelength of 1064 nm. To assess the condition of the vaginal walls and vulva before and after laser treatment, the following methods will be used: vaginal health index, perineometry, elastography of vulva, cytological methods. Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI), The Pelvic Organ Prolapse/Urinary Incontinence Sexual Questionnaire (PISQ-12), Vulvovaginal Symptoms Questionnaire (VSQ), Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) will be used to collect feedback on changes in the participants life quality. Total up to 120 participants with postmenopausal atrophy will be involved in the study. Participants will be divided into three groups: laser treatment group, topical hormones treatment group, and both laser treatment with topical hormones application group, by 40 participants in each. The time intervals between tests will be the same for all groups. Thus, a direct comparison between conventional treatment (topical hormones), laser treatment and combine laser and topical hormones therapy of the vaginal atrophy will be made. The main hypothesis of the study is improvement in condition of the vaginal walls after laser treatment and laser treatment with hormones application compared with the initial state of not less than thirty percent of participants, and improvement in condition on average compared with the hormones only therapy group.

NCT ID: NCT03061799 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Postmenopausal Period

Efficacy and Safety of HPC-03 for Postmenopausal Symptom

Start date: January 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In women, as the age increases, ovarian function is lost, resulting in the deficiency of female hormones, resulting in menopause, in which menstruation is permanently lost. The average age of menopause in Korean women is 49.7 years old, which is equivalent to 22.3% of the total female population. In addition, the increase in the number of women who experience early menopause due to environmental factors such as stress as a result of the increase in the number of women entering the society is also a major cause of the expansion of the market for menopausal women's health functional foods. Women's menopausal symptoms have been regarded as a natural process for everyone, but with the recent interest in health and the results of related studies, the perception that menopausal symptom management is necessary has spread. In traditional medicine of far east asia, danggui (Angelica gigas Nakai), taeunggung (Cnidium Rhizome), and broilers (Cinnamon bark) have been commonly used for postmenopausal symptoms improvement. However, scientific evidence for these foods are lacking. Therefore, in this study the investigators tried to examine the efficacy and safety of extracts of angelica gigas nakai, cnidium rhizome, and cinnamon bark in postmenopausal symptoms. This study is designed as double-blinded placebo control study.
