NCT ID: NCT03763032 Active, not recruiting - Advanced Cancer Clinical Trials

Psychosocial Intervention in Latino Patients With Advanced Cancer

Start date: January 23, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Palliative Care focuses on symptom management and quality of life and helps patients with life-limiting illness match goals and preferences for care. While there has been interest in and acknowledgement that palliative care is an important part of training patient navigators, there have been no previous studies examining the effectiveness of a navigation intervention to improve palliative care for patients. This study will examine the feasibility to implement patient navigator and psychosocial interventions.

NCT ID: NCT03743649 Active, not recruiting - Delirium Clinical Trials

Haloperidol and Lorazepam in Controlling Symptoms of Persistent Agitated Delirium in Patients With Advanced Cancer Undergoing Palliative Care

Start date: July 17, 2019
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This phase II/IIII trial studies how well haloperidol and lorazepam work in controlling symptoms of persistent agitated delirium in patients with cancer that has spread to other places in the body undergoing palliative care. Haloperidol and lorazepam may help in controlling symptoms of agitated delirium in patients with cancer and may lessen any distress that their caregivers may be experiencing.

Start date: March 20, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

To demonstrate the added value of intraoperative pancreatoscopy in patients undergoing partial pancreatic resection for the treatment of Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasm (IPMN) as it pertains to detection of discontinuous (skip) lesions in the remnant pancreas; to generate a hypothesis for a subsequent randomized control trial.

NCT ID: NCT03725436 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Advanced Malignant Solid Neoplasm

ALRN-6924 and Paclitaxel in Treating Patients With Advanced, Metastatic, or Unresectable Solid Tumors

Start date: January 24, 2019
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This phase Ib trial studies the side effects and best dose of ALRN-6924 when given together with paclitaxel in treating patients with solid tumors that have spread to other places in the body or cannot be removed by surgery. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as ALRN-6924 and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading.
