NCT ID: NCT03475979 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Abbreviated Breast MRI for Second Breast Cancer Detection in Women With BRCA Mutation Testing

Start date: May 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Study Purpose: A multicenter prospective study to evaluate the outcome of second breast cancer surveillance with abbreviated breast MR (AB-MR) or ultrasound (US) in addition to annual mammography in women with BRCA1/2 mutation testing Study Scheme: - AB-MR, US, and digital mammography will be performed on the same day and interpreted independently at baseline and then after 1 year. - After completion of study, patients are followed-up for at least 1 year.

NCT ID: NCT03458221 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Recurrent Ovarian Cancer

Signal TrAnsduction Pathway Activity Analysis in OVarian cancER

STAPOVER
Start date: January 31, 2023
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this prospective, parallel-group, cohort study is to implement phenotype-guided targeted therapy based on functional signal transduction pathway (STP) activity in recurrent ovarian cancer patients using a novel mRNA-based assay. Existing targeted drugs with tolerable toxicity profiles are used to investigate the therapeutic value beyond their approved indication, which are deemed beneficial in the select group of patients with a relevant predominantly active functional STP, in order to improve survival and maintain quality of life.

NCT ID: NCT03414944 Recruiting - Brain Metastases Clinical Trials

Elective Simultaneous Modulated Accelerated Brain Radiation Therapy for NSCLCs With Limited Brain Metastases

SMART-Brain
Start date: December 2, 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Brain metastases are the most common intracranial tumors in adults. Whole-brain radiation therapy (WBI) increases the median survival of patients with brain metastases up to 3-6 months, but WBI can lead to the decline of cognition and quality of life, with short local control time. The use of SIB(simultaneous integrated boost) technology can increase the local control rate. Hippocampus avoidance can effectively reduce the cognitive impairment caused by WBI.This study was designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of selective brain radiotherapy (EBI)(based on SIB and hippocampus, inner ear avoidance )in NSCLCs with limited brain metastases.

NCT ID: NCT03413865 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cancer, Treatment-Related

Telemedicine Clinic for Prostate Cancer Patients

Start date: October 28, 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This randomized, open label study will evaluate a nurse and pharmacist led clinic conducted remotely from Grand River Regional Cancer Centre at Grand River Hospital (GRRCC/GRH) using OTN teleconferencing as a platform for patients with prostate cancer receiving oral chemotherapy agents.

NCT ID: NCT03377829 Recruiting - Thyroid Cancer Clinical Trials

A Multicenter Trial of PLA vs. Surgery for Treating PTMC

Start date: December 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a multicenter prospective controlled trial of percutaneous laser ablation(PLA) versus conventional surgery for the treatment of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC).

NCT ID: NCT03365973 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Pathological Fracture in Potentially Unstable Spinal Metastases of Breast Cancer

Start date: December 15, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to identify potential risk factors for and determine the rate of pathological fracture for patients which having spine metastases from breast cancer and be defined as potentially unstable (SINS 7-12) according to the Spinal Instability Neoplastic Score (SINS). The investigators' analysis will provide robust data about the development of spinal instability and help identify the optimal timing of local surgery treatment.

NCT ID: NCT03363685 Recruiting - Spinal Metastases Clinical Trials

Verification of Novel Survival Prediction Algorithm for Patients With NSCLC Spinal Metastasis

Start date: November 1, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to learn whether our own made predictive algorithm can be used as a clinical practical decision support for patients with NSCLC spinal metastasis. The scoring system consists of the use of EGFR-TKI, KPS, Age, SCC, CA125 and smoking history. By predicting survival doctors could determine which patients are suitable for palliative therapy.

NCT ID: NCT03226483 Recruiting - Brain Metastases Clinical Trials

Intraoperative Radiotherapy After the Resection of Brain Metastases

INTRAMET
Start date: March 28, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

INTRAMET examines prospectively the effectiveness of an intraoperative radiotherapy immediate after the surgical resection of brain metastases. Patients won't receive further radiation therapy of the intraoperatively treated lesion.

NCT ID: NCT03199300 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cardiovascular Morbidity

Investigating Cardiovascular Adverse Events Related to Cancer Treatment

InvestiCAT
Start date: December 12, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Cisplatin, anthracyclines, bleomycin and trastuzumab can cause severe cardiovascular or pulmonary toxicity. Why some patients are susceptible to extreme toxicity of cancer treatment is largely unknown. Unraveling extreme cardiovascular toxic responses in cancer patients may help understand the pathophysiology of cardiovascular toxicity of these agents and help in understanding the more subtle, long-term cardiovascular side effects that affect a larger part of cancer survivors. With induced pluripotent stem cells we will obtain patient-derived cells to recapitulate and mimic and study pathological (cardiovascular) responses and (cardiovascular) toxicity in vitro.

NCT ID: NCT03088150 Recruiting - ColoRectal Cancer Clinical Trials

COLLISION Trial - Colorectal Liver Metastases: Surgery vs Thermal Ablation

COLLISION
Start date: July 13, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective is to prove non-inferiority of thermal ablation compared to hepatic resection in patients with at least one resectable and ablatable colorectal liver metastases (≤3cm) and no extrahepatic disease.
