A 3-year Cross-sectional Assessment of the Tianjin Child and Adolescent Large-scale Eye Study

Start date: July 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a school-based, cross-sectional study to assess the incidence and prevalence, risk factors of myopia among schoolchildren in both eye-use environment, eye-use habits, lifestyle, and family and subjective factors before and during COVID-19. Large population and representative study subjects. Environmental exposure and daily within and out-of-school activities will be evaluated in a random subgroup.

Myopia Control With Three Lever Irradiance of PBM Therapy in Children and Adults

MCPT
Start date: January 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Photobiomodulation therapy, that is, Low-level red-light technology provides a new and innovative myopia control approach. This strategy enables relatively high energies of light to be delivered at much shorter durations of exposure to induce the myopia control effect. The efficacy of the low-level red-light technology has been proven in a Chinese populationb for the recent 3 years with evidence based papers and amazing results. However, there's not yet evidence to demonstrate the relationship between the dose response effect of photobiomodulation therapy on myopia control at the different age lever.

NCT ID: NCT05956717 Recruiting - Myopia Clinical Trials

The Effect of Orthokeratography on the Quality of Life and Behavior of Myopic Children

Start date: May 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The study intended to observe the changes in the quality of life, behavior, and eye habits of children and adolescents aged 8-18 years before and after orthokeratology, as well as the differences in the quality of life and behaviors of different myopic groups after keratoplasty, using the EQ-5D-Y, CHU9D, and CHROME-G scales with the use of a self-assessment method.

NCT ID: NCT05956704 Completed - Myopia Clinical Trials

The Different Design of Orthokeratology

Start date: December 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In this study, we intend to enroll orthokeratology subjects aged 8-18 years old with binocular myopia up to and including -4.00 D. They were randomly selected to wear both orthokeratology of different designs, one with an aspheric wide inversion zone design in the optical zone and the other with a traditional spherical curved segment design, and to investigate the differences between these two lenses in terms of their effectiveness in myopia retardation, defocus, and aberration.

Management of Myopia in University Students Using Dual Focus Soft Contact Lenses

MoMUS
Start date: January 1, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to quantify the effectiveness of Coopervision MiSight contact lenses in slowing the rate of myopia progression in university students.

NCT ID: NCT05948046 Recruiting - Myopia Clinical Trials

The Health-Related Quality of Life of the Patients With Symptomatic Convergence Insufficiency

Start date: June 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This trial is an observational cohort study. Patients aged 8-15 years with symptomatic convergence insufficiency and 150 patients with symptomatic convergence insufficiency who had not received visual training were selected from the Tianjin Eye Hospital Optometry Center and received 1 course of visual training treatment. Self-assessment and other assessments were combined, and the patient and guardian questionnaires were collected. The EQ-5D-Y and CHU9D scales were used to evaluate Chinese patients' health-related quality of life with symptomatic convergence insufficiency. The feasibility of the EQ-5D-Y and CHU9D scales in assessing the health-related quality of life of Chinese patients with symptomatic convergence insufficiency was analyzed. To assess the effectiveness of visual training on visual symptoms and improvement of quality of life in patients with symptomatic convergence insufficiency
