NCT ID: NCT05656469 Recruiting - Anxiety Disorders Clinical Trials

Clinical Study Evaluating Pharmacogenomics-informed Pharmacotherapy Versus Dosing as Usual in Psychiatric Disorders

PSY-PGx
Start date: February 23, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A 24-week, patient- and rater-blinded, two-arm, parallel-group controlled, and multi-centre randomized clinical trial (RCT) to establish the benefits of pharmacogenetics-informed pharmacotherapy versus dosing as usual (DAU) in psychiatric patients suffering from mood, anxiety, or psychotic disorders.

NCT ID: NCT05650788 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Mood Depressive Disorder

Exploration of Differences in Metabolite Concentrations by NMR Spectroscopy in the Ventral Striatum, Anterior Cingulate Cortex and Prefrontal Cortex in Euthymic Patients With Unipolar and Bipolar Type II Mood Disorders, as Well as in Healthy Subjects

RMN-UNIBI
Start date: June 5, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The presented project is an open and controlled single-center prospective exploratory study, evaluating the metabolic concentrations in the ventral striatum (VS), the Anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) and the prefrontal cortex (PFC) on the left and on the right of patients in remission of unipolar mood disorder and type II bipolar mood disorder compared to each other and to healthy subjects using NMR spectrometric measurements. We hypothesize that there is a significant difference between the mean glutamate concentrations in the ventral striatum (right and left) of the two groups of unipolar and bipolar type II patients. The average glutamate concentration would be higher for participants in the group of type II bipolar patients.

NCT ID: NCT05646784 Recruiting - Mood Disorders Clinical Trials

Gut Microbiota in Mood Disorders in Lebanese Population

Start date: January 24, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to evaluate the pathophysiological aspects of the role of inflammation and gut microbiota in mood disorders, in particular in depression, and their therapeutic implications on a cohort of the Lebanese population. Specific objective: The evaluation of probiotic intake (CEREBIOME®, Lallemand Health Solutions Inc., Mirabel, Canada) on depressive patients and the inflammatory state. Evaluate the effect of oral intake of a probiotic agent, on clinical and plasma inflammatory markers, in a subgroup of target patients versus a subgroup treated with placebo, in combination with conventional treatment.

NCT ID: NCT05637320 Recruiting - Anxiety Disorders Clinical Trials

Big Feelings: A Study on Children's Emotions in Therapy

Start date: October 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about how psychotherapy works for children and adolescents aged 8 - 15 with anxiety, depression, trauma, or disruptive behaviour. The main question it aims to answer is: • Is the biobehavioural regulation of negative emotion a transdiagnostic mechanism of treatment response in psychotherapy for children with anxiety, depression, trauma and/or disruptive behaviour? Children and their parents will be randomly assigned to an evidence-based, transdiagnostic treatment (the Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and Conduct Problems; MATCH-ADTC) or a waitlist control condition. Participants in both groups will complete a baseline assessment, weekly measures consisting of brief symptom scales and medication tracking, and quarterly assessments every 3 months. Following the intervention/waitlist period, our team will conduct post-test assessments. All assessments, except for the weekly surveys, will consist of symptom scales, clinical interviews, experimental tasks and physiological measures.

NCT ID: NCT05596461 Recruiting - Affective Disorder Clinical Trials

New Techniques for Diagnosis and Treatment of Cognitive Impairment in Affective Disorder

Start date: January 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to explore the pathological mechanism of cognitive impairment in patients with affective disorder based on brain gut axis research, preliminarily verify the clinical efficacy of new neural regulation technology on cognitive impairment, and establish an evaluation model to predict the efficacy of physical therapy for affective disorder.

NCT ID: NCT05593276 Completed - Depression Clinical Trials

The Preliminary Effects of Empower@Home

Start date: January 5, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This randomized pilot trial uses a waitlist control parallel design of a novel internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy program for older adults with elevated depressive symptoms. This study will enroll approximately 35 older adults per group throughout Michigan. The intervention will take approximately ten weeks to complete. Participants will have lower levels of depression after completing the intervention than before enrollment. Participants will be able to use the internet-based platform with minimal support.

NCT ID: NCT05589090 Completed - Anxiety Disorders Clinical Trials

Super Skills for Life Effectiveness in the Online Modality

Start date: October 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the transdiagnostic program Super Skills for Life (SSL). This protocol targets children aged 8 to 12 with emotional problems (anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and lack of social skills). SSL consists of eight sessions targeting common risk factors for internalizing disorders such as cognitive distortions, avoidance, emotional management, low self-esteem, social skills deficits, and coping strategies. The present research focuses on assessing the effectiveness of SSL applied online (through a virtual platform).

NCT ID: NCT05581277 Recruiting - Anxiety Disorders Clinical Trials

Efficacy of the Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders (UP) in People With Post Covid-19 Condition.

Start date: January 15, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The present multiple baseline single case trial will study the efficacy and acceptability of the "Unified Protocol for the Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders" in the treatment of emotional symptomatology and/or emotional disorders in a sample of patients with Post Covid-19 condition.

NCT ID: NCT05574491 Active, not recruiting - Anxiety Disorders Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of Traditional and Computerized Versions of Super Skills for Life in Children

Start date: February 7, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Super Skills for Life (SSL) is a transdiagnostic cognitive-behavioral protocol developed for children aged 6 to 12 with anxiety and comorbid problems (e.g., depression, low self-esteem, and lack of social skills). SSL consists of eight sessions targeting common risk factors for internalizing disorders such as cognitive distortions, avoidance, emotional management, low self-esteem, social skills deficits and coping strategies. The aim of the study is to investigate the comparative effectiveness of SSL in its traditional and computerized versions on internalizing symptoms in Spanish children between 8 and 12 years of age.
