It is thought that, as a result of the virtual reality-based disaster training given to nursing students, the psychological preparedness of nursing students who will work before, during and after the disaster will increase in disaster preparedness and disaster threat. It is thought that this research will lead to the development of school-based interventions at other universities in similar situations. The purpose of this research is to increase the level of psychological preparation and awareness of disaster preparedness and disaster threat through virtual reality-based disaster education given to nursing students.

Optimizing Behavioral Healthcare Delivery Through Technology

The goal of this randomized controlled clinical trial is to determine the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy of an artificial intelligence platform )שׁ( for behavioral health in facilitating better clinical outcomes for adult patients receiving outpatient therapy. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: - whether an AI platform designed for behavioral healthcare would be feasible and acceptable to patients and therapists. - whether the depression and anxiety outcomes of adults receiving outpatient cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) in a community-based clinic would be superior among patients whose therapists used an AI-based platform to support clinical decision making and administrative tasks compared to patients receiving treatment-as-usual (TAU). Participants will receive CBT for depression or anxiety and complete standardized assessments. Participants will be followed for the first two months of therapy.

Using Neuroplasticity-Based Computerized Training to Improve Emotion Regulation in Bipolar Disorder (BRAINS)

The goal of this study is to evaluate the feasibility and potential benefit of a behavioral intervention designed to improve emotion regulation in individuals with bipolar disorder. The intervention consists of game-like exercises that involve the 'Cognitive Control of Emotion (CCE) - i.e. the ability to control the influence of emotional information on behavior. Deficits in the cognitive control of emotion are a central feature of Bipolar Disorder that contributes to emotion dysregulation, maladaptive mood episodes, and, ultimately, the overall chronicity and severity of illness. Neuroimaging studies of bipolar patients demonstrate neural abnormalities in brain systems involved in cognitive control and emotion processing. Furthermore, these abnormalities predict mood and behavior problems associated with cognitive control of emotion, such as emotion lability, disinhibited behavior, and extreme mood states. The aim of this study is to determine feasibility and examine whether a computer-based program of progressively difficult cognitive control emotion exercises will improve cognitive control of emotion skills and, thereby, result in better emotion regulation and daily functioning in young adults with bipolar disorder. To test the intervention, a single group of young adults (18-30 years old) with Bipolar I Disorder will complete behavioral assessments before and after 20 hours (4 weeks) of CCE training. In order to identify baseline deficits associated with bipolar disorder, a comparison group of healthy young adults will complete behavioral assessments at a single time-point (without CCE training).

Effects of Mind-body Exercises in a Patient With Mood Disorders: a Case Study.

The interoception capacity may be changed with mind-body intervention. This study case investigated the interoceptive capacity, measured by MAIA scale of a pacient with mood disorders and if it can be influenced through of a 7 weeks intervention of interoceptive exercises and the impaction in the patient´s daily life. The aim was analyse the effects of mind-body exercise program with interoceptive approach in the anxiety and depression symptoms, interoceptive capacity, as well your impact in paitient's daily activities. M.S is 47 years old, was forwarded from University Hospital Clementino Fraga Filho to extension project named as "corpo&mente" (body-mind), an anamnesis was performed including patient's life story, interoceptive scale, anxiety and depression scale from Hamilton and a risk stratification to realize physical activities (it was also performed post-intervention). The exercise program lasted 1h 15 min and it was performed once a week.

The Preliminary Effects of Empower@Home

This randomized pilot trial uses a waitlist control parallel design of a novel internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy program for older adults with elevated depressive symptoms. This study will enroll approximately 35 older adults per group throughout Michigan. The intervention will take approximately ten weeks to complete. Participants will have lower levels of depression after completing the intervention than before enrollment. Participants will be able to use the internet-based platform with minimal support.

The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the transdiagnostic program Super Skills for Life (SSL). This protocol targets children aged 8 to 12 with emotional problems (anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and lack of social skills). SSL consists of eight sessions targeting common risk factors for internalizing disorders such as cognitive distortions, avoidance, emotional management, low self-esteem, social skills deficits, and coping strategies. The present research focuses on assessing the effectiveness of SSL applied online (through a virtual platform).
