NCT ID: NCT04555564 Withdrawn - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Tc99m Macroaggregated Albumin Bronchial Artery Study

Start date: August 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a single-arm, single-center, prospective pilot study to perform bronchial artery Tc-99m-MAA infusion to determine the predicted whole lung versus lung tumor dosimetry of a possible intra-arterial radioembolization.

NCT ID: NCT04361552 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Tocilizumab for the Treatment of Cytokine Release Syndrome in Patients With COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2 Infection)

Start date: April 7, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This phase III trial compares the effect of adding tocilizumab to standard of care versus standard of care alone in treating cytokine release syndrome (CRS) in patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection. CRS is a potentially serious disorder caused by the release of an excessive amount of substance that is made by cells of the immune system (cytokines) as a response to viral infection. Tocilizumab is used to decrease the body's immune response. Adding tocilizumab to standard of care may work better in treating CRS in patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection compared to standard of care alone.

NCT ID: NCT04135326 Withdrawn - Malignant Neoplasm Clinical Trials

Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation in Reducing Pain in Cancer Patients With Chemotherapy Induced Peripheral Neuropathy

Start date: October 10, 2019
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This early phase I trial studies how well transcranial direct current stimulation works in reducing pain in cancer patients with chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy. Transcranial direct current stimulation is used for patients with brain injuries such as strokes as well as for mental health issues such as depression and may help to control pain in cancer patients with chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy.

NCT ID: NCT03668769 Withdrawn - Malignant Neoplasm Clinical Trials

Quitting Schedule Mobile Smartphone Application in Helping Participants to Quit Smoking

Start date: March 27, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This trial studies how well a mobile smartphone application called Quitting Schedule works in helping participants to quit smoking. Quitting Schedule is based on WebCASSI, a computer-based initiative that offered state of-the-art smoking cessation treatment and counseling to MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) patients and served as a portal for non-patients to find information regarding smoking cessation advice and treatments. Quitting Schedule may help participants to quit smoking.

NCT ID: NCT03348137 Withdrawn - Malignant Neoplasm Clinical Trials

Oncology Research Information Exchange Network in Improving Genetic Screening Rate in Patients With Cancer

Start date: July 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This research trial studies how well Oncology Research Information Exchange Network (ORIEN) works in improving genetic screening rate in patients with cancer. Implementation of Progeny Genetic Pedigree and Family History Questionnaire software across all ORIEN member institutions may add value and utility for recognizing and caring for patients with an inherited susceptibility to cancer.

NCT ID: NCT02591433 Withdrawn - Malignant Neoplasm Clinical Trials

JeffQuit Group Therapy Program for Smoking Cessation in Patients With a History of Cancer

Start date: August 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This pilot clinical trial studies how well the "JeffQuit" group therapy program works in enabling patients with a history of cancer to quit smoking. The JeffQuit program uses group therapy to provide psychological support and address the mental need for smoking, the habit or routine it creates, and the physical need for nicotine. It is not yet known how well the JeffQuit program will work in helping patients with a history of cancer to stop smoking.

NCT ID: NCT02382068 Withdrawn - Malignant Neoplasm Clinical Trials

Dexamethasone in Preventing Hearing Loss in Patients Receiving Cisplatin

Start date: August 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This randomized pilot clinical trial studies dexamethasone in preventing hearing loss in patients receiving cisplatin. Injecting a steroid, such as dexamethasone, behind the eardrum before chemotherapy may help protect against cisplatin-associated hearing loss.

NCT ID: NCT02069340 Withdrawn - Malignant Neoplasm Clinical Trials

Genetics in Predicting Risk of Bisphosphonate-Related Osteonecrosis of the Jaw in Patients With Cancer Receiving Zoledronic Acid

Start date: June 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This randomized clinical trial studies genetics in predicting risk of bisphosphonate-related osteonecrosis of the jaw in patients with cancer receiving zoledronic acid. Zoledronic acid is an anti-resorptive drug used as part of cancer treatment. A serious side effect of these drugs is death of the jawbone, commonly called bisphosphonate-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (BRONJ). Genetic research may help doctors understand risk factors for BRONJ or who is more likely to get BRONJ and why.

NCT ID: NCT00728585 Withdrawn - Malignant Neoplasm Clinical Trials

Palifermin in Preventing Oral Mucositis Caused by Chemotherapy and/or Radiation Therapy in Young Patients Undergoing Stem Cell Transplant

Start date: March 13, 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This randomized phase II trial is studying palifermin to see how well it works compared with a placebo in preventing oral mucositis caused by chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy in young patients undergoing stem cell transplant. Palifermin may help relieve or prevent oral mucositis caused by chemotherapy and radiation therapy in young patients undergoing stem cell transplant.
