Sintilimab Combined With Anlotinib in Advanced NSCLC With EGFR Uncommon Mutations

Start date: August 1, 2019
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study was a single-arm, open-label, phase II study of PD-1 monoclonal antibody combined with anlotinib in the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with EGFR uncommon mutations. Twenty-one patients of NSCLC harboring rare EGFR mutations after previous treatments, including a platinum-based regimen and a targeted treatment (regardless of EGFR Ex20ins), were enrolled. Patients received sintilimab (anti-PD-1) combined with anlotinib (multi-target anti-angiogenesis). The primary endpoint was the objective response rate (ORR) based on RECIST 1.1. Secondary goals included progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), disease control rate (DCR) based on RECIST 1.1; safety Sex and tolerance. Exploratory objectives include the use of tumor tissue and plasma specimens to detect biomarkers predicting the efficacy of sidilimumab: including but not limited to tumor mutation burden (TMB), PD-L1 expression, etc.; exploring potential predictions in peripheral blood. Biomarkers for anti-group efficacy, including but not limited to TCR.

NCT ID: NCT04772118 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Improving Cancer Outcomes Through Personalized Care Planning and Symptom Management.

Start date: February 16, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This Study is a case control Study conducted with 100 patients with a solid tumor cancer diagnosis (lung, breast, or gynecologic cancer). Records of 50 patients who received treatment plans as standard of care will be abstracted for control data. 50 patients undergoing cancer treatment will receive a treatment plan and report symptoms using Carevive PROmPTâ„¢.

NCT ID: NCT04763824 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

KanSurvive: Testing a Model for Improving Cancer Survivorship Care in Rural Practice

KANSURVIVE
Start date: November 18, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Approximately, 20 rural primary care practices to participate in a delayed intervention-controlled trial. Phase I: Formal and structured work flow evaluations to better identify specific gaps in processes of care while assessing what on-going training is needed for adoption of high-quality cancer survivorship care in rural practice. These will be incorporated into the ECHO sessions (Aim 1). Phase II: Conduct and test the effectiveness of the novel KanSurvive-ECHO intervention (Aim 2) and finally identify barriers and facilitators to implementation of KanSurvive-ECHO (Aim 3).

NCT ID: NCT04743583 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Prevalence and Malignant Involvement of Calcified Intrathoracic Lymph Nodes in Patients Undergoing Endosonography

Start date: March 20, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The presence of calcifications, which is a relatively common feature in intrathoracic lymph nodes, typically contributes to confer them a heterogeneous aspect during endosonographic B-mode examination, but their prevalence and a possible association between calcifications and metastatic involvement has never been systematically evaluated. We hypothesize that, in patients undergoing mediastinal diagnosis or staging of suspected/known lung cancer/intrathoracic malignancies, the prevalence of lymph node metastases is similar in calcified and non-calcified lymph nodes.

NCT ID: NCT04735614 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Physical Stabilization in Post-VATS

Start date: January 27, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Background: Post-video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) pain remains an open issue, though most patients experience less acute pain after VATS than thoracotomy. So far, there was no gold standard regarding pain control post-VATS. Objective: To conduct a randomized controlled trial assessing the effect of physical thoracic stabilization on post-VATS pain control. Method: The investigators aimed to recruit 40 patients with operable lung cancer in the outpatient clinic from January to December 2021. The patients will be randomized into the intervention or control group. The intervention group will receive physical thoracic stabilization with POSTHORAX ThoraxBelt after the surgery, whereas the control group will have standard care. The follow-up period will last for 6 months.

NCT ID: NCT04735341 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Prospective Post-market Data Collection for Ion Endoluminal System to Understand CT to Body Divergence

Start date: December 9, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this study is to collect post-market data for the Ion Endoluminal System to understand CT to body divergence.

NCT ID: NCT04722432 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Deployment Capability and Accuracy of an Outside the Scope (OTS), Detachable Catheter System for Ablation of Peripheral Lung Lesions: An Ex-Vivo Human Lung Model Study

Start date: October 16, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A novel OTS detachable probe system carried outside and along the flexible bronchoscope has been developed. Using this novel system, the operator can deploy the probe in the target bronchus and lesion and completely detach the scope from the probe.

NCT ID: NCT04722393 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Lung Resection and Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Start date: October 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Lung cancer is the most common cancer in the world and surgical resection remains the gold standard curative treatment in early stage non-small cell lung cancer. However, surgery itself is the direct cause of pulmonary function impairment, which dramatically reduces patients tolerance to exercise and their quality of life. Pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) complements surgical treatment and improves patients' exercise and functional capacity, decreases dyspnea, improves health status. Our aim is to examine the effectiveness of PR applied after lung resection in patients with lung cancer, 2- To determine whether the respiratory exercise training given to patients who could not participate in the PR program is effective.

Distinguishing changes on patients that have received thoracic radiotherapy and patients that are currently receiving or have recently received IO and presenting lung changes which will be identified using AI.

NCT ID: NCT04712149 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Pilot Digital Follow-up of Lung Cancer

Start date: February 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In the pilot study, 30 patients with metastatic lung cancer (stage IV) will be recruited at the start of their stage IV treatment from February 2019. The study period per patient will last six months, from the start of the stage IV treatment. Patients are eligible if they are diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer, speak sufficient Dutch, and are willing to participate. Patients are randomly assigned to two arms by simple randomization. In the intervention arm, 15 patients will receive a weekly questionnaire. Alerts will be sent to the multidisciplinary care team, who will undertake follow-up actions. In the control arm, 15 patients will receive the standard care pathway without weekly questionnaire and without automatic alerts to the care team. The standard care pathways and the care team are the same in both groups. In this pilot study, the weekly follow-up will be evaluated by a validation questionnaire, semi-structured interviews with patients (n=5) and the care team (n=5), and workload registration of the care team during a six-month period for all included patients in the pilot.
