Filter by:This is a single-arm, Phase II study of crenolanib as maintenance in AML patients with FLT3 mutations who have achieved complete remission (CR) after allogeneic stem cell transplantation. Oral crenolanib will be administered daily post-transplant for up to two years.
While the majority of women in the general population can breastfeed successfully, the investigators have limited knowledge about the correlates and sequelae of lactation success among women treated for pediatric malignancies. Childhood cancer treatments are known to cause late effects that frequently involve the endocrine system. Because normal lactation is dependent upon interplay of multiple endocrine factors, the investigators anticipate more breastfeeding difficulties in survivors that have diabetes, growth hormone deficiencies, thyroid disorders and obesity. In order to more fully inform clinicians and female survivors, the study of the burden of lactation failure is needed to begin to address the impact of pediatric cancer therapy on lactation success/failure and to examine the association of specific endocrine disorders on lactation outcomes.
This phase II trial studies the side effects and best dose of nivolumab and azacitidine with or without ipilimumab when given together and to see how well they work in treating patients with acute myeloid leukemia that has not responded to previous treatment or has returned after a period of improvement or is newly diagnosed. Monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as azacitidine, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving nivolumab, azacitidine and ipilimumab may kill more cancer cells.
A phase II trial of CD3/CD19 depleted, IL-15 activated, donor natural killer (NK) cells in adults and subcutaneous IL-15 given after a preparative regimen for the treatment of relapsed or refractory acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). The primary objective is to study the potential efficacy of NK cells and IL-15 to achieve complete remission while maintaining safety.
B-precursor ALL is an aggressive malignant disease. Therapy is usually stratified according to risk characteristics to ensure that appropriate treatment is administered to patients with high-risk of relapse. In general, pediatric treatment regimens are more intense than those employed in adults and include courses of combination chemotherapy. Standard of care chemotherapy is associated with considerable toxicity. There is a lack of novel treatment options for subjects who relapse or are refractory to treatment. Therefore, innovative therapeutic approaches are urgently needed. Blinatumomab is a bispecific single-chain antibody construct designed to link B cells and T cells resulting in T cell activation and a cytotoxic T cell response against CD19 expressing cells. This study will evaluate the event-free survival (EFS) after treatment with blinatumomab when compared to standard of care (SOC) chemotherapy. The effect of blinatumomab on overall survival and reduction of minimal residual disease compared to SOC chemotherapy will also be investigated.
The primary objective is to describe the effectiveness of dasatinib (Sprycel®) in CML patients in China in the real-world clinical practice setting.
The goal of this clinical research study is to compare the effect of adding either alemtuzumab or tocilizumab to the drug combination of etoposide and dexamethasone in controlling HLH. The safety of the drug combinations will also be studied. This is an investigational study. Alemtuzumab, etoposide, tocilizumab, and dexamethasone are not FDA approved for the treatment of HLH. Etoposide is FDA approved and commercially available for the treatment of testicular cancer and lung cancer. Alemtuzumab is FDA approved and commercially available for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Dexamethasone is a steroid used to reduce inflammation. Tocilizumab is FDA approved and commercially available for the treatment of arthritis. The combination of alemtuzumab, etoposide, tocilizumab, and dexamethasone to treat HLH is investigational. The study doctor can explain how the drugs are designed to work. Up to 40 participants will be enrolled in this study. All will take part at MD Anderson.
The purpose of this observational study is to provide additional data to confirm the safety profile and efficacy of bendamustine and rituximab (BR) chemotherapy for chronic lymphocytic leukemia patients with significant comorbidities treated in routine clinical practice.
The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of a moderate Cytochrome P450 (CYP) 3A inhibitor (erythromycin) and a strong CYP3A inhibitor (voriconazole) on the steady-state pharmacokinetics (PK [the study of the way a drug enters and leaves the blood and tissues over time]) of repeated oral doses of ibrutinib in participants with B-cell malignancy (cancer or other progressively enlarging and spreading tumors).
The goal of this research study is to test a quality-of-life questionnaire called QUALMS-1 in patients with MDS. This is an investigational study. Up to 240 participants will be enrolled in this multicenter study. Up to 175 will take part at MD Anderson.
